"A bit of maintenance should be done. The BBQ pit area is kinda run down, over grown, dim and terrifying to the ladies after dark. Shower heads in house are plugged, so very little excruciating hot water dribbles out. Hedges and flower beds need some love they are overgrown, outdoor shower doesn't work, kitchen utensils are tired, toaster only works 1/2, coffee pot takes an hr to make coffee, knives were so dull they wouldn't cut fruit, I bought a stone and sharpened them. Cozy, clean, and had all the amenities we could ask for.My husband loves to cook, and the property had everything we needed for our nice dinners with the sound and view of nature.I enjoyed my coffees in the morning listening to all different types of bird songs, and even the howler monkeys was an exotic nice experience.I highly recommend this place."

"One of the most amazing places I’ve stayed and the perfect setting for our group. Manuel and his family were super helpful whenever we needed Theo assistance on the property. Communication was excellent during and leading up to our stay. I would absolutely stay here again. The roads to get there were a bit tricky, so make sure you have clear directions, especially if you’re arriving at night. For us, this was all just part of an epic adventure! Only good things to say about this place."

I messaged the host to advise him immediately that I missed my flight and had to cancel hoping to get a voucher or reschedule. I never heard anything. "Beware! This property is not as advertised. The advertisement that the house is “Beachside” is a stretch. House is on top of a steep hill from the beach with multiple other houses between it and the beach. Some key pictures in the listing are outdated; for example, the listing picture of an ocean view from the first floor no longer applies as it appears to have been taken over 10 years ago before tree growth blocked the view. The home is advertised as inside Rancho Santana; however, what is not...

"The house was perfect for our group of 4 adults and 4 teenagers with beds to spare. Great view from the deck, and a very quiet neighborhood. El Gigante was a short drive and is the kind of non touristy village we were looking for. Loved it."

"This place was to be expected for the price point. But the kitchen was dirty. The garbage needs to be cleaned out daily because the cats make a mess of it at night. Please do not advertise a pool when there is no functioning pool. Add some hammocks on top floor and throw out broken chairs. Throw out your dirty pillows and buy new ones. The pillows totally grossed me out. There is a sign on the fence advertising tours and a bar that isn't even a thing. It would take about 2 hours just to do some basic updates and cleaning to make the place look better."

"The place is just amazing! We came for two nights and as soon as we walked in, we tried to book more nights, unfortunately only one extra night we were able to snap. About the property: the place is apiece of heaven in earth, the pictures in the website are great but seeing it in person looks even better. The staff are the best and food (omg) that’s the cherry on top of the cake, every plate is delicious…. While we stayed there we met several other customers and all of them had the same opinion, this place is just fantastic! Big shout out to the stall Kaylee, Henry, Sharon and many others than I can’t remember their names"

"The property was close to beach and walkable. We enjoyed the pool and breakfast was an option which we had a few times. Staff was very helpful arranging taxi and sharing walks and things to explore. Enjoyed that it was non smoking. Enjoyed having coffee and water available as well. I would recommend this place and have no problem coming back."
