Detached Holiday Cottage, Close To Market Town Of Hesdin . A pet welcome.

This lovely Detached Holiday Cottage is set within pretty surroundings, and close to all amenities. Be it a relaxing holiday or taking in the many places of interest there is something for everyone.

This area is known as the Seven Valleys .Only 90mins from Calais,
30 mins to Le Touquet. 30mins to the best beaches of the Cote de Opale.
20 mins Montreuil sur Mer made famous by Victor Hugo LES MISERABLES. Abbey de Valories 10mins.

Just 8 mins to the Market Town of Hesdin with all the Supermarkets ,Restaurants ,Sports Centre with indoor and outdoor pools, Shops and garages. There is a Bakery delivery each morning just outside the cottage.

We first Renovated the cottage in 2010 and we constantly update it. The cottage is maintained by the on site owners. The cottage still retains its original beams ,but has all the comforts of modern day living, including double glazing, electric heating , and a wood burner. Sat TV with 5 English Channels. Plus Wi fi.

The cottage is in a relaxing setting. A small sunny garden with patio seating area to the left plus another large seating area to the right with a gas BBQ. there are also areas in the shade. Both sides have table/ chairs and relaxing furniture. please see photos.
The cottage is ideal for Couples or couple and child a travel cot and high chair can be provided.
Our Property borders the Somme Region with its vast History. Historians are well catered for.
Arras ,the Capital of the area, La Capole ,and Vimmy Ridge, Azincourt. All well worth a visit. should you wish to travel further afield Paris, Lille, louve -Lens Museum or Monet Garden are all in easy travel distance. Abbey de Valories just 10 mins from the cottage. this is special to visit in spring.
There are beautiful clean beaches and the kite festival at the end of April each year, check the dates on the internet. This is something well worth seeing.
The Brocante season starts in April, Many a treasure to be found, or Simply relax and enjoy the beautiful countryside.

Little Haven
Set in the beautiful village of Tortefontaine is this little haven of a property. Irene, Norman and Charlie the dog were extremely welcoming. The place and surroundings are just perfect for a quiet relaxing stay. We will look forward to returning!

This property is immaculate. It is extremely well supplied with everything you could need, clearly a lot of thought and effort has gone into ensuring this. The bed is very comfortable. Our hosts Norman and Irene were very friendly and helpful with good local knowledge. Ideally located for visiting the opal coast. We had a fabulous fortnight here. Andrew and Susan Leah.(July 24)

An excellent stay with charming hosts!!
The cottage is perfectly equipped, functional and delightfully decorated. There is a small, peaceful garden and a picnic table under a large tree for hot days! A plus for the high quality mattress (for weak backs!) Irene and Norman are charming, discreet and gave us plenty of suggestions for outings and visits. A valuable address to keep!

Excellent hosts
Hosts live on site and are friendly but not intrusive (Also have Charley the dog which is a bonus). Property is small but well equipped and furnished and is impeccably clean. Also you have a private garden area and access to rest of grounds to hide from sun. Location is quiet but beaches and towns easily driveable within 10 to 35 minutes so all options covered. Would certainly recommend.

Nicely located . 30 mins from beach by car. Garden not private as you are over looked. It’s cosy but cluttered. Kitchen has everything but no washing machine. Owners are very pleasant with Charlie their friendly dog .

Very quiet and lovely
Lovely well presented Gite. We stayed for a week and Irene and Norman were very helpful and welcoming. They had a secure storage area for our tandem and all the facilities you need apart from a washing machine but there is a launderette in Hesdin. The bed was lovely and comfortable and being able to watch the Tour de France highlights on ITV 4 was great. Thoroughly recommend this Gite.

Amazing quiet cozy cottage
My girlfriend and I spend an amazing time in this little little cozy cottage. It is equipped with everything you might need. The garden is filled with flowers and shaded by old trees - listening to birds early in the morning with a cup of coffee was incredibly relaxing. We also made use of the great gas barbecue. The cottage was incredibly well cleaned and sterilized before our arrival, which we appreciated greatly, especially during the current situation. Irene and Norman are very welcoming. All in all a great get away with amazing hosts.

A lovely spot and very quiet but within easy reach of various locations property is very well equipped with everything you could need and clean. Hosts are very knowledgeable about the area and helpful and Charlie the dog is lovely would definitely recommend.

Leuk huisje met alles erop en eraan. Ook zeer aardige eigenaars. Omgeving is leuk om te fietsen, maar ook af en toe golfen. Voor ons een fijne plek, waar je je prima een weekje kunt vermaken. Ondanks dat het weer niet helemaal mee werkte.

Wir wollten einen ruhigen Jahreswechsel mit unserer Huendin geniessen. Norman und Irene haben uns vorab versichert, dass es kein Silvesterfeuerwerk in Tortefontaine gibt. Alles ist genauso eingetreten. Danke nochmal an die perfekten Gastgeber Norman und Irene und die liebevolle Vorbereitung des Cottage. Gerne wieder!

Un superbe cottage avec toutes les commodités, une décoration intérieure et extérieure faite avec goût, un accueil chaleureux et sincères des Propriétaires, un grand merci à Norman et Irene pour leur gentillesse et leur disponibilité . Là situation géographique du cottage nous a permis de voyager sans soucis entre Le Tréport et les deux Cap Nous conseillons cette location sans hésitations

Schönes idyllisches Ferienhaus auf dem Land
Wurden sehr freundlich von Norman und Irene begrüßt und haben alles gezeigt bekommen. Die Lage ist ruhig, man kann schöne Spaziergänge und Ausflüge machen. Separate Sonnenterrasse! Sehr gerne wieder. Absolut zu Empfehlen.
