Welcome to The Budding Bungalow, our 2BR/2BA, waterfront bungalow on Lake Hartwell with a private, deep-water covered boat-dock. We have lovingly updated the entire space inside and outside including a brand-new kitchen, floors, windows and outdoor shower. You can even check out of renovation process on IG @Thebuddingbungalow

When we first purchased the bungalow, it was a parched and thorny sight in need of tender care. With loving hands, we've nurtured it from its withered state into a vibrant bloom, each petal unfolding to reveal its hidden beauty. Thus, we've affectionately named it "The Budding Bungalow," a testament to its transformation. Now, we're thrilled to share our journey of growth and renewal with you as we invite you to experience the blossoming charm of our cherished "fixer-upper".

Relax, boat, fish, swim or float on the lake & enjoy beautiful sunsets on the dock.

You can also explore the quiet cove on the kayaks included with the rental.

Inside:
The house is a perfect size for one couple or a family get-away. It is a 2-story bungalow with the bedrooms on the terrace level. It comfortably sleeps 2 adults and up to 4 children.

It’s only a short walk on our easy walking path to the deep water covered boat dock (20 feet at full pool) which is great for swimming, fishing, floating, or docking your boat for the duration of your stay.

Perfect Stay!

The Budding Bungalow was exactly what we were looking for. Central location, gentle slope to the dock, beautifully decorated, comfortable accommodations. The owners have done a fabulous job providing every amenity you can think of. We will definitely return in the summer months to take advantage of the water and outdoors.

Amazing girls' trip!

A couple friends and I stayed here for our girls' trip, and it was perfect! The house was amazing, beautiful, and so comfortable! It was such a refreshing and soul-restful stay. 10 out of 10 would recommend! The hosts were also fabulous with clear instructions and great communication!

Cute Lake Cabin

Husband and I visited daughter at Clemson and stayed at this cabin. Very clean with perfect lake access ( too bad we didn’t have a boat). Beds were comfy and we enjoyed the outdoor shower! Coffee bar included!

Great little hideaway

Family of 5 stayed there for a weekend for the Rock the Country music festival. House is cute and fun and clean. On the water with its own dock it’s great for swimming or boating. Super time would stay there again. The owners were great communicators.

A fantastic Memorial day weekend

The Budding Bungalo was absolutely perfect for a long weekend with our little family. Lots of living space to spread out and the kitchen was perfectly stocked to cook up some quick meals in between boat rides. We will definitely be back!

Great Spring Break

Me and my family had a great time at this property. The weather was great during our time there. We were able to spend a lot of time on the dock and on the water. Had great time in the home as well where everything was perfect. We will definitely stay again in the future!

Wow-a great lakeside bungalow!

Wow! What a great place for a getaway! The Budding Bungalow was cozy, clean and well appointed. We've rented several times on Lake Hartwell over the years and this is overall one of the best. We will definitely be back!

Weekend Get-away

This was a long weekend celebration for my husband’s birthday & we had a great time! Budding bungalow is so beautiful & comfortable. Its location in a peaceful quiet cove makes it the perfect place to relax & enjoy the water. And it’s an easy drive to surrounding towns & restaurants including lakeside grills. We’re certain others will enjoy the property as much as we did ❤️

Lovely lake property

We stayed with my partner and friends that we were showing the south. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay, the property was clean and well appointed, the hosts were great communicator and sorted an issue we had with organising our stay (which was the result of an app issue). If you want time by the lake, this is a perfect stay.

Great place. Smelled clean when we first entered. Great communication with hosts. Good location. Really appreciated the covered dock with fenders installed so we could tie up the boat easily and charge it with the long cable they provide. Nice cove with nice neighbors.

Lovely Stay

We enjoyed our stay. The house was cute and very clean. The host was responsive and friendly. The home was exactly as listed. We were there Sunday - Wednesday and the cove was calm and quiet. We brought our boat and loved that we had a covered slip to park it. There was also plenty of space for our trailer at the house. We'd definitely stay again.

Clemson Family Weekend

It was a perfect weekend staying on the Lake 27 minutes away from the campus of Clemson University. We were able to fish, cook and spend time together with family. The Bungalow is freshly remodeled and super clean. It has everything and everything is uniquely labeled, that little touch made the stay a pleasant experience. Thank you Brian and Victoria for allowing us to visit, we certainly hope to come back soon.

It was a great place. Quiet, neighbors were very friendly. House was clean and well supplied with anything you would need. Check in was a breeze. Dollar store was just down the road. Overall we didn't want to leave!!!!
