We welcome you at our cozy house in Dilofo village, a traditional village 16km from Trikala. It's an ideal destination for people who love relaxation and quietness away from the city buzz.
The Space:
Shared space the cozy Living room area & kitchen fully equipped with a dinning area for relaxing next to the fireplace. Two bedrooms one with two double beds, and the other with a double bed and a sofa-bed, this house can accomodate 7 people who are willing to spend time rejuvenating close to nature and explring the sights. A comfortable bathroom and an outdoor space completes this country house.
Guest Access:
Optional choices to reach the small village of Dillofo,for travellers coming from Athens and want to enjoy and relax in a train ride we could recommend to catch the train line from Athens Larissa Station , its the easiest way to get to Kalabaka from Athens. The train takes about five hours with lovely views along the way. Kalabaka is located 27 klm away from the small village Dilofo by car, approximatly half an hout away. This could be an optional choice, to reach the country house , for you, who would like to travel on a buget and rent a car from Kalabaka for the rest of your routes. Alternativelly, renting a car from Athnes & travelling along the way can take you up to 4-5 hours, exploring a beautiful mountain-side ,part of Greece!
The Neighborhood:
Dilofo village is located near the shore of Portaikos river. Thanks to the purity of the river water, activities such as swimming and fishing are allowed, also getting a chance to take up a long walk to a total of five bridges,cross the Portaikos. The small village offers its simplicity and the gifts of nature, 20 minutes away from the country of Trikala,spending time cycling,walking and exploring the monuments sights, such as The Old Town of Trikala, The Byzantine Castle, Lithaios river that bisects the city center parks nature and much more, Trikala are known for its artistic details and handmade paintings all over the streets, Fantastic art ,that will amaze you, which make the place magical along the way. Traditional taverns and local stores welcomes you! The area is highly recommended for both summer and winter season. Its imperative that you take up a hike or book a tour at Meteora built on the tops of some of the cliffs, which is today the second most important monastic complex in Greece and are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Whatever the wheather or the season you will choose for travelling the place will compensate you!

Paleokaria Arch Bridge - Waterfall
An impressive synthesis of stone and water in a stunning landscape. In the summer, you can take a refreshing swim below the 16th century bridge.
Clock Tower of Trikala
The city's trademark was built in 1936 on the spot of an older Ottoman clock tower. You want to visit it for its panoramic view.
Central Bridge of Trikala
Trikala have a river and several bridges crossing it, many of which are pedestrian. This is one of the most notable ones thanks to its beauty.
Fanari Castle
Surprisingly well-preserved castle (some restoration has taken place) with great views over the Thessalian plains. The Fanari Castle is worth your visit.
Arched Stone Bridge of Pyli Trikala
The Pyli hanging gate-bridge dates back to 1514, though it was restored recently. Don't miss the nearby church of Porta Panagia.
Trikala Fortress (Castle)
Built on the acropolis, the internal areas of the "Frourio" (Fortress) are beautifully preserved. There is no entrance fee and the view is rewarding.
Ancient Trikki - Asclepieion (Archeological Site)
The ruins of ancient Trikki are also called Asclepieion because Trikki was the homeland of the famous ancient Greek physician.

Monastery of Panagia Pelekiti
Hewed in vertical mountain rocks, it is an impressive monastery with imposing hagiography and exceptional views from atop the mountain.
Pertouli Ski Center
Located at Pertouli Meadows, the ski center has 5 slopes and a usually good snow quality. Ideal for elementary and medium-skilled skiers.
Lake Plastiras (Tavropos Reservoir)
This artificial lake adds a watery heaven on an otherwise fairytale landscape. It attracts visitors and also wildlife whole year-round.
