He was very nice to all of our family - including our 2 teenagers. We were there for the Christmas Markets and the location was perfect. "We loved the Houseboat!! Loved that it was a central hub for friends/family to gather and enjoy when we wanted respite from the go-go-go that Hamburg is! A quick ten minute walk to the train allowed us not to have to rent a vehicle, helped get our steps in and was easy to navigate throughout the various hubs of the City! A perfect rental. "We met up with friends in Hamburg and were thankful to find a property with sufficient rooms and 1.5 bathrooms located close to the Hamburg City Center. The property was as described. The layout is a bit funky with glass panels giving visibility into some rooms, the restroom windows going out to the walkthrough and one room having no windows at all. "Everythinh is good, when you get up you can see horses. Clean house, best utentils. 25minutes from Hamburg but 30 minutes to Lübeck. If you want to work from the house wifi quality is not good, but if you want to stay with good holiday I prefer the place. Nearest market 7 minutes from the house (Edeka). Super comfy beds

"The room was beautiful and cosy. My husbands lived in Hamburg in the past and he really loved the view of the Speicherstadt from our room. The super comfy beds were a treat too. Only downsides are it’s a bit further from the town centre and ubahn which we knew at the time of booking so we walked to most places. We arrived on the weekend with a car and there was not really a convenient drop off location. Parking nearby was quite expensive. I would’ve liked a kettle or coffee machine that dispensed hot water too but that doesn’t seem to be common in hotel rooms in Germany from what I’ve noticed. "

Our first stay in a sustainable hotel.

"We went to Hamburg for a family weekend and stayed for 3 nights. Villa Viva was perfect for us with walking distance to most and safe neighborhood. It was fairly quiet and the breakfast was healthy. My kids missed the bacon. The room we had was large and there is no TV which allowed us more time to talk. WiFi was great! "

"Four days of pure luxury. We upgraded to the Europa suite and it was the most magical venue for Christmas. We enjoyed a magnificent Christmas lunch, delicious breakfasts and wonderful room service meals. The staff were absolutely phenomenal. We really don’t have enough superlatives for our stay at the Fontenay. Worth every penny! "
