Mais par contre l'annonce avec les 500 metres pour aller a la plage n'est pas correcte il y a un peu plus quand même du coup un peu difficile lorsque vous avez des tout petits comme nous... "Villa Roccia is great. Beach just across the road was fabulous for late evening walks…but the pool and hot tub area was the star of the holiday. The village has a couple of grocery shops with a wonderful boulangerie too. Everyone was friendly, especially the host, Carine. Wonderful holiday. Long drive from uk but French roads and drivers are so much calmer than uk, so it was stress free from Calais."

The little village had a very friendly bar a tremendous butcher with a huge range of products and a baker's shop with bread to die for. Carine and her daughter were extremely helpful. "We loved our stay here - house is spacious and we all had a bedroom - a family with 3 generations staying. The garden is lovely, great to play, sit, enjoy. The pool is lovely, though too cold for me to get in, but the kids did and enjoyed it. That would be my only criticism - a heated pool would be nice! Close to a supermarket - only 5 mins in the car, Surgeres,close by, is a lovely little town to explore and also has a train station to get to La Rochelle, Paris, etc! Highly recommended."

"This hotel is the definition of “you get what you pay for” - reasonably priced in a great location, with an excellent breakfast and very good staff, so what’s missing? Firstly, the hotel has no parking and the streets all around are full of cars looking for a parking space…we spent 40 minutes looking and ended up 15 minutes walk from hotel. Next, WiFi - despite hotel saying it’s available the service doesn’t connect reliably and drops out constantly. Third, the rooms are small - although the bathroom is adequate and there’s a tiny balcony. Fourth, there’s no A/C. So that’s are the downside…the upside is location - the beach is directly across the road in front of the hotel and is a fine sandy beach that shelves gently into the water and is safe for kids. The boat harbour and ferries are a five minute walk with lots of bars and restaurants and the fabulous town market is a ten minute walk and a must-see. There’s also a spectacular walking path that follows the cliff tops north all the way round to the Casino - about three kms so if you lose all your money you can walk back to the hotel. Highly recommended. "
