"We really enjoyed our stay. The check in with Isobel was very smooth and easy. The cottage is actually bigger than the front view suggests, as it has been extended at the rear. The bed was very comfortable. The cottage is well equipped and very clean and just a couple of minutes walk from the beach and facilities in Lamlash. There is plenty of parking and the garden gives space to enjoy the tranquil surroundings. We found this the ideal base to explore the beauty of Arran. We thought that this...

"A last minute refusal by another property to honour our booking meant we had to quickly find an alternative. With hindsight, this was actually a good thing when we found this apartment. Marlborough was simply excellent. Lovely apartment, great view over the river, spotlessly clean, great location (convenient & quiet), easy reserved parking and lovely staff. Without a doubt will book here again on our next stay in the area. A great find."

We had a bit of difficulty finding it because accessing it through the VRBO Google maps link, sent us to the house across the street. A kind neighbor helped us get sorted out and even gave us awesome suggestions for local restaurants and attractions. The kitchen has all the essential cookware and dishes and cutlery. "I liked everything about the Marine. Only one criticism and that was the fact that the hotel itself does not have a direct telephone that you can ring them on. All calls for all hotels in the group go through central reservations whom I called and was put on hold for half an hour. But everything other aspect of the hotel and our stay was excellent. Will definitely stay there again without question."
