"Beautiful view. Water heater was great. We appreciated the communication in English. Well lighted bathrooms. The stepping stones used as stairs are uneven, some wobbly, and no hand rails, which made them very UNSAFE. The home needs a new latch on the gate and a handle on the patio door. "Lovely hotel ❤️ On arrival I was a little concerned when the receptionist advised there was work ongoing - but it was fine. Comfy room, nice and quiet with good amenities. The elevator was tiny but stairs do allow you to access all rooms. There is no toiletries or tea / coffee in rooms but they do have a kettle and hairdryer etc. All in all would highly recommend - the location is perfect! Right in the hub of town and less than 10 minutes walk to the train station and for the Bernina Express! Thanks for a lovely stay."

The breakfast was excellent but is a standard continental breakfast with cereal, croissants, boiled eggs, ham, cheese, yoghurt and nice espresso. Dinner was excellent with friendly service and regional food. The dessert was a wonderful tiramisu (not regional but the staff were italian). The hotel is as advertised. The rooms are simple but comfortable. The toilet was immediately outside our room as stated in our booking but was still convenient. The stairs are quite steep. It was quiet except for faint ringing of church bells in the evening. We would stay again. Thank you."

"The best hotel we stayed at in Europe. The views alone could give this hotel 5 stars, but the room was clean and nice as well. Check in was easy and the bus stop was not too far away. Although, you should be warned the first walk up with your luggage can be a bit of a battle, but we took plenty of stops to take in the view anyways."

Great location and hotel

"The hotel has a beautiful bar and wonderful restaurant. The views from the room were spectacular. Our room in the Schloss was huge even though we just got a standard double room. There was even a walk-in closet. The decor was very traditional and the bathroom was big but was done in an old fashion style with a long narrow bath with a shower attachment. More modern decor is in the outer buildings.They have an elevator so accessibility is good in the Schloss except for the restaurant where there are a few steps to go up. The reception desk staff were very friendly and could speak multiple languages. I could converse in English with them. The location is very convenient with free parking. It is a very easy walk over to the thermal baths in the Bad Ragaz resort. Walking to the town center took me about 5 minutes. The breakfast at the hotel which is included was terrific with many options to appeal to different nationalities. The restaurant in the evening was wonderful with an Indian buffet."
