Contemporary 4 Bed House In Porthtowan, Walk to Beach - Open for 2024 bookings

Anemone is a modern eco- style beach semi-detached house in a development of 28 houses nestled in a tranquil valley a 5 minute walk from the fantastic Porthtowan Blue Flag beach with its beach side eateries, beautiful sand, renowned surf and direct access onto the South West Coastal Path. It is a stunning house, with great attention paid to the little details which make a big difference. As well as a large open plan living area inside, the property enjoys a large decked terrace which enjoys the sun through the day into the early evening and where outdoor sofas are provided for you to bask as well as outdoor dining table and benches. The house also has a beautiful log burner for the colder months. And if you're interested in the property over the Christmas period, we're happy to decorate it, please just let us know what you'd like and we'll try and help you feel festive!

Great property, beautiful location
We had a lovely stay at this property in Porthtowan. We were a party of 8, 2 families, and the house was perfect. Very clean, everything we needed and a lovely welcome pack of goodies when we arrived. Brilliant communication throughout with the host. 5 min walk to the beach, great bar and restaurant also just a 5 min walk. Bit cold when we went but we braved the sea and so glad we did! Great time had by all.

Great communication with property owner for any issues. Great location. Comfortable holiday home ,well equipped with all that is required for family holiday. Parking for 2 vehicles,which is great for large famy. Would recommended.

Christmas and New year getaway
Sarah was a great host, the property had everything we xould have wanted for our stay, especially multiple bathrooms which is essential for staying with family. The house was warm, comfortable and a great suze too. Location was perfect, a short walk to the beach and nearby pubs. Lovely spot to see in the new year. Also there's great connections via bus and taxi services were easy to get hold of. Definitely would stay again! Thanks Sarah :)

The heading summarises it all really. The location is tucked away from the little epicentre of Porthtowan with a short walk too and from the shops / beach. The house is beautiful and well equipped and sits on the sunny side of the plot. Breakfast right through to dinners basking in the sunshine, which we were all fortunate enough to enjoy the week we stayed. Sarah’s communication was highly informative, warm and insightful around the subject of the children on holiday. We’ll definitely be back - loved the whole area.

Overall the property was excellent. A small disappointed however was that we had forgotten the code to open the key box and as there is no mobile phone signal at the property it was impossible to ring for assistance. A friendly neighbours helped out however. In addition the beach is 5 minutes away but by car. The walk takes longer and has a very steep return journey so probably not suitable for the elderly on foot. These were fairly minor items though and generally we all had a great holiday. Thank you.

Great Staycation
Lovely property in a quiet location. Sarah our host was amazing. Porthtowan is a lovely little village with a great beach. I would definatley recommend this place to anyone thinking of going. Lot's to do in the area, St Ives, Truro and Eden Project.

A Really Great house
We had a fabulous time at this house. It has a wonderful kitchen dinner. Make sure you read about how to cool down the upstairs because it does get hot in the bedrooms if don't turn on the machine to equalise the air. A lovely patio area has wonderful views of the hills.

Fab Sept trip
This property was the brilliant focus for our holiday. It was great to be able to walk to and from the beach, coastal path and village shops and pub. It meant everyone could come and go as they pleased so less waiting for everyone to be ready or to do the same activity. The open kitchen diner large room was perfect for us all to hang around. Having 3 bathrooms helped with logistics. The decking area was super especially for breakfast in the sunshine and for hanging out towels and swimsuits. The host was very responsive and was keen to ensure everything was as easy for us as possible. I'd definitely be happy to come back and would highly recommend this home.

Great place to stay
Lovely location and plenty to do in the near vicinity, lovely beach within ten minutes walk, easy access to the coastal path. Nice modern property with a good layout which suited our party of six adults and two toddlers. The owner Sarah was excellent, plenty of updates before we arrived, and checks during our stay to ensure everything was OK. I thoroughly recommend this pace, and would consider revisisting!

Just had a brilliant week in Porthtowan. The weather certainly helped but accommodation makes or breaks a holiday for me. And this house was great. Excellent location for the beach, really well equipped and Porthtowan had everything we needed - including great ice-cream and a fabulous pop up food area. We spent the whole week on the beach - a first for us! - and didn't really explore the area, so we may well be back and would definitely stay here again. Sarah was fantastic, dealing quickly and helpfully with any queries

Overall very good, no deep clean was done on arrival but apart from some cobwebs and dust the house was clean, the bin was broken and not replaced, when self catering for two weeks a working bin is essential, we usually stay in this complex and it’s very good, booked again for next year!

Relaxing stay in Anemone in Porthtowan
We’ve just returned from our second stay in six months at the house - we were lucky to book either side of lockdown. We loved it! When we arrived the house was pristine, with a lovely selection of local provisions waiting for us, which was very much appreciated. The house was so comfortable with plenty of space to enjoy, relax and for the kids to chill and play. Fully equipped with everything we needed, even for our home baking treats. The log burner gave us that extra level of comfort in the evenings. Located in the costal resort of Porthtowan, it was the perfect location for what we wanted to do. With just a short drive to our favourites.. Holywell Beach, Padstow and Watergate Bay. From the house it was a quick five minute walk down to the beach and to the beachside 'Blue' bar, allowing us to enjoy the amazing sunsets Cornwall had to offer. We were also perfectly placed for plenty of coastal walks and so nicely located to the coast to coast cycle trail which we cycled with our 11 year old twins - they loved it! We enjoyed every minute and can’t wait for when we can go back.

Spent 2 weeks here with 4 adults and 2 children under 3. Felt totally comfortable doing so. Didn’t feel on top of each other at all. Great central location for getting round Cornwall and seeing the sights as well as being close to porthtowan beach and it’s bars and restaurants
