What a gem The Laurels is. We enjoyed a long weekend at the cottage and had everything we needed. Lovely welcome package to arrive to after a long drive and lots of information about what to visit in the area. Beds were very comfortable and everywhere was spotlessly clean. Would definitely visit again. Five stars!

Lovely terraced cottage tastefully decorated. Local pub has now closed so you need to drive. Local village shop is very handy just across the road. Around 10 min drive to St Agnes which is a really nice spot. Did miss not having Wi-Fi and the on street parking for more than one car is tricky.

A wonderful week in a lovely cottage
The Laurels was the perfect base for our week at half term. Set in a quiet street, with outdoor space both at the front and back of the property, we really enjoyed our stay. The cottage has literally everything you could need, and is very comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped, and everything has been very well considered for a holiday home from home.

Lovely Easter weekend spent at The Laurels. The cottage is in a great location and very warm and cosy. Even though the weather wasnt freezing we couldnt resist lighting the fire after a day out exploring Cornwall. Very clean and has everything that you need. Lovely little welcome basket with some Easter treats went down well. Will definitely stop here again.

Charming and delightful cottage - The Laurels
This cottage has just about everything one could possibly want in a holiday cottage. The owners have thought very carefully about what should be available on the premises and we arrived with quite a few items that we thought we might need but all were already there! Absolutely delightful little house which was warm and very comfortable with several separate downstairs areas that allowed privacy if you want this. We hosted a family Christmas lunch for six adults (though only three staying) and it was just brilliant. If we need accommodation close to Perranporth again then this will definitely be our choice.

The cottage was very clean and pretty. The local shop was literally fours doors down. We managed to explore one of the nearby beaches Holywell, headed to Newquay Beach and town and dined in Truro. The children, us and our dog all enjoyed our stay. Thanks

Great cottage
Lovely little cottage , handy for Porthtowan and Aggie. Be prepared to drive to eat or just use the great local cabs. OK so no WiFi or village pub but we had a great 5 days despite the weather. I'm grateful for a view of the North Cornish Coast and a clean cottage - nicely done all involved as a hassle free experience from booking to end of hols - thanks x

Homely cottage in a great location
What a delight it was to stay at The Laurels for a fortnight. Mount Hawke is a lovely village with two shops within walking distance but there’s no pub. It’s a really homely cottage which has a lovely contrast between the light kitchen & dining area & the cosy snug which was lovely for the cooler evenings. The rear garden catches the late afternoon sun & is very sheltered, perfect to relax in after a day out. We like cosy evenings in & the cottage is well equipped to cook meals from scratch. We loved being able to walk from the front door through the woods & down to Porthtowan beach for coffee & cake at the cafe. There is a great surfing school too which we highly recommend & amazing fish & chips from Seasmiths. WiFi would have been welcomed because the signal in the village is weak & during COVID times places like Seasmiths are click & collect only. A lovely stay, would definitely return.

Really lovely short break. Used as a base to explore the villages and beaches. Very well equipped, beautifully clean and comfy. Only downside was no WiFi. With teenagers and very poor signal in the cottage, WiFi would have been appreciated, even if we had to have paid for it. Other than that, perfect!

Lovely house with very handy local shop and 2 enclosed gardens
This is a lovely light-filled 2 storey house right next to a little shop, we found this so handy. There are 2 enclosed gardens, very handy for our dog and drying washing. The bathroom is downstairs which feels a bit strange but we got used to it. Well equipped kitchen with washer and dryer and plenty of storage space everywhere. We always ate at the table but the breakfast bar would be nice for a couple, and unfortunately we never got round to using the firepit. The sofas could do with replacing and we really did miss the WiFi as the signal was terrible (we have EE and Giffgaff) finding it difficult to plan day trips or finding places to eat, I think this should be considered. All round though a great place to stay. I'd say locally St Agnes and Porth Towan (sunset) are worth a visit, particularly in the evening, and surf school at Gwithian.
