When I've stayed at other motels that evoked nostalgia, usually it's because they haven't been renovated. Hotel McCoy's nostalgia was intentionally created by a series of artists so each area is unique. I took advantage of the oatmeal breakfast and long line of additives. Overall it was a pleasant experience.

FILTHY, way too small. Management NON RESPONSIVE. I emailed them about issues and got absolutely no reply whatsoever. Left sneakers in my room by accident and they were promptly stolen. Woman at front desk when checking in was covertly hostile, zero customer service skill, acted like it was a privilege that she existed. Fridge in room broken and ran super loud until we figured it out and unplugged it. NO housekeeping without 48 hour notice of request to clean your room. This was the most awful hotel experience I have ever had. This place's "stellar" ratings are like the "virtue signaling, pity" votes doled out on AGT for people who have a good, sad story, but who aren't as talented as other candidates, but it feels good to see them win anyways...people have given this place UNDO high ratings because they are art-friendly, trendy, progressive and say all the right things according to the current narrative in society. Spend your money elsewhere, you won't regret it, but you might regret it if you believe the ratings and you disagree that this place and these people are fabulous because they will make you pay for disagreeing that they are wonderful.

I love motels. I love being able to drive up to your room door and unload. This is my all time favorite motel. The room was super clean, the staff, especially Allysa, Senia and housekeeping, were very friendly and accommodating and the oatmeal breakfast bar, was the best!!

It’s a good place for a night or two. The freeway noise is very loud and we could hear a lot from the adjoining room. Staff were friendly. The location is pretty central but not at all walkable. The cleanliness was not good as the floor and carpet were very dirty and obviously hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. It was an okay experience but not one that I would repeat.

We've stayed here several times and come back each time we are in Tucson. We love the way the motel supports the local community (and are sad the food truck is gone). The rooms are comfortable and roomy enough for our needs. It's also conveniently located at the intersection of I-10 and I-19. We love the oatmeal bar and plentiful coffee in the morning and drinks at night. The walls are a little thin; hope for quiet neighbors.

This is a fun and funky motel with an easygoing vibe. Great murals painted on the outside of the buildings. Stayed in a kitchenette room that had a fridge, microwave, hot plate and all the cooking utensils you would require. Comfortable bed and plush bedding plus dog friendly. The staff was friendly and helpful, fun breakfast choices and fabulous coffee!

This is a really unique hotel! The people who work there are kind and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and very affordable. Breakfast is fun with an oatmeal bar and pop tarts. We didn’t get to use the pool (no time) but it looked nice. Funky art and decor made for a fun atmosphere. If we return to Tucson we’d stay there again.
