I just stayed at this property for a week. It's a bit removed from the main tourist sites, but is very close to both a train and subway station, so they are easily accessible by public transportation. The daily breakfast was very good and offered a variety of options. My one complaint is that my room was too warm, so I kept the window open, but there was almost constant street noise. It have been nice to get the AC to a lower temperature. But that is really a minor issue; overall, I really enjoyed my stay there.

The location and views were incredible! Our room was lovely; very clean, comfortable and charming. and there was so much care and detail for our 5 year old: special sheep sheets, a kids dining set for breakfast- it really made her feel special. Breakfast was delicious, and the stocked fridge to purchase beer or wine was really nice in the evening after we put our little one to sleep - we had a beer on our balcony looking up at the castle and out to the river. We will definitely need to return!

The SPA facilities is perfect. The staff are great and friendly. The hotel is immaculate. Highly recommended if you stay in Frankfurt, Germany.

A small hotel, very cozy and quiet. Very close to Oktoberfest grounds and 5 mins walk to subway stations. They offer very nice breakfast buffet.

I would highly recommend Platzl Hotel if you plan on visiting Munich. I extensively researched Munich hotels and was so happy I chose Platzl. We arrived early, unannounced, just hoping the desk would be able to store our luggage. Peter and Adrian, at reception, were so friendly and accommodating. They performed a quick search and were able to check us into our room early. This set the tone for the way our stay evolved. We booked one of the smaller suites and it was a perfect for a 5 night stay. The room was immaculately clean, contemporary design and luxurious bathroom. We purchased the breakfast in advance and highly recommend that you do. It is worth the cost. Endless healthy choices, German specialties, freshly baked breads, mimosas, fresh fruit, yogurt, freshly prepared omelettes, breakfast smoothies, etc. The hotel is centrally located and walkable to most attractions and shopping in Munich, but yet nestled in a spot that felt quiet and safe. There is an underground parking garage for an additional fee that was very convenient. We utilized the sauna and gym, both perfectly sized and equipped for a hotel. The mini bar was complementary and stocked with waters and other beverages during our stay. Also, Nespresso coffee machine is always a plus! I can go on and on about the hotel amenities and the professionalism and kindness of the staff. But, I will end it here by saying we will return to Platzl Hotel and recommend it to everyone visiting Munich.
