In this special museum, get close to beautiful vintage airplanes and see an incredible show that brings the stars and planets right into the room.

Tulsa has played an important role in the history of U.S. air travel for more than a century, and the Tulsa Air and Space Museum & Planetarium offers a fun and engaging way to learn about this history. Come to this family-friendly attraction to enjoy interactive exhibits designed to keep visitors of all ages entertained. View a selection of incredible vintage airplanes that have been carefully restored and preserved. Step into the planetarium to see a wonderful show that will bring the night sky to life and make you feel as if you have been transported into space.

The museum was founded in 1998. In its early days, it was small enough to fit inside a single hangar. Visit today, however, and see how it has expanded into a huge and varied attraction over the years. The museum relocated to Tulsa International Airport in 2005, and its exhibits now sprawl across almost 18 acres (7 hectares).

Explore the museum’s generous area and discover the magical exhibits that make it such an irresistible day out. Experience air travel as it was in the 1930s in the careful reproduction of an art deco airport terminal. Take a look inside the cockpit of an F-14 Tomcat fighter jet. Try playing the role of Mission Control as you practice launching a space shuttle.

Tickets to the museum include admission to a show in the planetarium. Take a seat and watch as the planetarium’s enormous dome lights up with striking arrangements of stars and planets. Learn all about our galaxy and beyond, as you see the universe as you have never seen it before.

Reach Tulsa Air and Space Museum & Planetarium from downtown Tulsa in about 10 minutes by car. The museum is usually closed on Sundays. As it is attached to the airport, it is a great place to relax for a few hours before catching a flight out of the city.
