"Gorgeous area, was able to enjoy the small town including the Pumpkin People festivities. The service when we arrived was awesome, the older gentleman on the desk was great. As were the staff in the restaurant. The food is fab. Room a little small and a bit dated (i.e wallpaper peeling) but nice and clean. Free postcards, hot cider and a bonfire to toast marshmallows on all evening. Very lovely overall!"

"Ive stayed at the Top Notch many times over the years. Always a great stay. Always clean, great showers (water pressure and hot water). Hot tub, pool, grills available to make baurgers, etc."

"We stayed in a suite with a full kitchen overlooking the slopes and it was awesome. Our only complaint is that the fireplace was not real, it was one of those with lights instead of fire but we rolled with the punches and won’t knock a star just for that although we were really looking forward to real fire (it was in the 40s when we visited in November). The hotel is in a quaint town that has restaurants and there is a grocery store right next door, which makes it very easy. There is a river behind the hotel (hence the name) and a great walkway along the river. The wine in the winery is not the best but heck, when you are on vacation any wine is good. They also serve cider (alcoholic, of course!) and that was Ok but again, it is good to have that option on property. It is a great location to drive to the Kancamagus scenic road. Do the loop and go to the Omni Washington Mt. Resort. That was a very cool stop. We did dinner there and it was very expensive ($150 for 2) but we splurged and really enjoyed the grounds. You don’t need to eat there to visit. A must hike is the Sabbaday Falls. "

"We went here for our honeymoon. It was great. We loved the view from our room as well as the balcony. We enjoyed all of the amenities, including the pool and jacuzzi. The location is really good because you're so close to the the tourist spots but also secluded and quiet. We will definitely stay here in the future."
