"All in all, this is a great hotel, with a tasty breakfast, pleasant and helpful staff, and a lovely feel to the room. Quiet and comfortable, and well placed in the centre of town. All told, it ranks as the best overall experience I’ve had on my long European journey (17 nights)."

"Perfect location, very friendly staff, complimentary breakfast, and light dinner were excellent. Room was basic, clean and quiet. No frills, minimal. "

"Not the best, not the worst; the hotel staff is friendly and professional - the woman working the breakfast was working hard to keep up with all the guest, they should be able to have more staff during breakfast to keep the level a bit higher. The rooms are fine, the bed is ok and so is the breakfast. "

"Very nice place with plenty of activities available. Sadly during the weekend there were many young people driving in the area with loud music playing all through the night and the cabin had no sound proofing so did not get much sleep."

"Comfortable hotel, dinner included but only one choice if you choose that otherwise 15% off normal menu. Hairdryer and fan worked intermittently. Staff friendly, good safe location. "

"Hotel Uman is a fantastic hotel. We stayed two separate nights on our way to and from Finland. Nice quiet rooms with all the amenities. Lower level garage is very convenient and safe. Hotel Uman is within walking distance of all Umeå museums, university, river walk, shopping and ferry to Vaasa Finland. The food is excellent (breakfast and dinner) and both are free! The staff is superior---very friendly and accommodating. Hotel Uman is the place to stay in Umeå."
