"This is my second stay there. One thing that need to be improved is renovation as hotel is very old. House keeping does not fill room with coffees, teas when it's run out. Restaurant serves breakfast at 7 but staff does not come until 7:40. No beach towels even though hotel is closer to the beach. Those things need some improvement but other than that the area around hotel is nice, the old charm of the hotel is beautiful. The dining room is right on the beach so you can have your breakfast staring out at the ocean. " We had an unforgettable experience at Tulia Zanzibar during our honeymoon. The food was absolutely amazing—truly high-end and exceeded our expectations. The service was beyond phenomenal; the staff were some of the best we've ever encountered, with Joseph standing out as an exceptional member of the team. They made us feel incredibly special, surprising us with thoughtful little touches throughout our stay. The property itself is stunning, offering a serene and picturesque environment. We also loved the farm, which provided fresh, garden-grown fruits and vegetables, adding to the overall charm. Highly recommend!"

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Sands Resort. Each suite is actually a separate bungalow with large, comfortable rooms and wonderful AC. There is an onsite restaurant that serves all day as well as a beach bar that serves snacks/meals during the daytime. It was very relaxing to be able to have all of our meals on the property. The staff were all very friendly and professional. Everything about the staff and property was wonderful. The hotel also offers excursions. The nice thing is that they are private which entailed having a driver and tours that were just for our party. However, I would not recommend doing the "swim with dolphins" excursion because there are too many other boats doing the same thing, and we didn't feel safe going in the water with so many boats moving around quickly to try to bring their passengers close to the dolphins. So, we stayed in the boat. Also, there were no life jackets available, and it was unclear how we would get in/out of the boat without a ladder or rope; the snorkel and other equipment was old, and we didn't get a chance to try the snorkel/mask before going on the water. We also did the Jozani Forest/Butterfly excursion, which was interesting to do to see the monkeys, mangroves, and butterflies, but the price the hotel charged seemed disproportionately higher than the experience merited; please note that I say this without knowing how much the hotel paid the driver to stay with us for several hours and for the forest guide. "

"We were pleasantly suprised with our stay at seyyida! If you’re thinking of booking … don’t hesitate ! We had the most memorable stay! The location is just off the Main Street off the beach - a quick walk from the ferry terminal and the night market. Stone town can feel quite intimidating to navigate upon arrival- we loved and took comfort knowing as long as we could find the ocean we could find our hotel. The staff was pleasant and helpful. They provided a map of stone town and assistance with things to do. The hotel is stunning. The pictures online will never do it justice! The courtyard and pool are works of art. Breakfast every morning was quick fresh and delicious. Please ensure you take the time to view the sunset on the rooftop patio-breathtaking ! The staff allowed us to store our luggage free of charge upon check out and use the pool until our time to leave. My only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer! Thank you for a lovely safe and memorable stay! "
