"The property is good floor plan and located with the view of the lake. There are two excellent restaurants about a three minute drive. The nearby town of Tilaran Is everything you would need. It is still rainy season which encourages you to get out early and be back by mid afternoon to enjoy the tropical rain. We would certainly consider using this location again"

"We enjoyed staying in this unique little house, the gardens, all the amenities and the peace of the surroundings. The caretaker came to meet us and showed us around as soon as we came. Wifi was excellent. Access was easy. We had everything we needed."

"This location is a bird watching, listening, paradise. The cabins are surrounded by lush vegetation and trees. The owner Cede is very friendly and accommodating. "It was a great place to stay. The size was perfect for 5 adults and 2 children. The only thing I would caution is there is only one room with an AC, and from what we found only one fan. (All had ceiling fans but the ceiling is so high it was hard to feel any breeze.) So it was a little hotter than I’m used to sleeping in however I would absolutely stay again. "Beautiful property. We were there during a heat wave. The only AC is the attic room with 1 twin and 2 futon beds. It is a duplex, but it is huge. The garage is communal, but you have your own washer and dryer."

"This was our first night in Costa Rica. We picked to stay here to split the drive to la fortuna and to be able to stop at Rio Celeste. It’s close to Rio Celeste. The town itself seems abanded. The owner of this property is very sweet. The area is loud, close to the road and constantly hearing traffic. The cabin type room has a large portable fan which was great. Shower works well. Good stay for 1 night. "

A tropical paradise!

"Two couples celebrating our 25-year anniversary! We loved everything about the Red Sunset of GUANACASTE from the house to the grounds to the swimming pool/hot tub, to the elaborate breakfast everyday! The view is fantastic of Lake Arenal, the cloud forest, Volcano Arenal. We had some overcast days, some rain, but enough clear weather to do all the activities we desired. Patrick and his staff were phenomenal hosts, making us feel welcome and pampered the whole time. We had Patrick cook for us twice, a Costa Rican dinner and a French dinner. Both were fantastic and included a delectable dessert. All of Patrick’s recommendations were excellent in terms of the best restaurants, a hanging bridge tour, a zip line package, a river tour, and more. He helped us with reservations even the day of so that we could be flexible depending on the weather conditions. We plan to come back, inviting at least 4 other couples to join us on another amazing adventure here, staying at the Red Sunset of GUANACASTE!"

"We stayed in the dome tent and it was amazing! We had a beautiful view when we woke up in the morning. There were showers and a mini fridge available too. The food at the ranch is amazing! The cook is wonderful. The jacuzi, pool, and animals were also a great add on to a wonderful stay!"

"You can't get any closer to the hike for Rio Celeste and it is so much better tonight hike first thing in the morning before it gets too crowded and the animals are all still out! This place was so charming and simple. The staff are beyond hospitable and it feels like you are a guest of a family. The restaurant on site is very good and open until 8pm. We loved this stay and are so glad we booked it. The single beds creak a bit but we slept well anyway Breakfast was really good and the sausage was delicious!!! If you want an authentic experience, to see red eyed tree frogs at night and are open to off the beaten path this place was an incredible find at a great value. There is also a shop and another restaurant on the same little road, along with mountain bike rentals. Side note... If you get offered a guide to the waterfall it will be worth every penny! We did this upon arrival and are so glad we did "

Paradise!

"This was our first time to Costa Rica and we could not have been more blown away by this place! The house was spectacular and the surrounding rainforest where we could explore made the experience even more wonderful! We really enjoyed the dipping pool after spending the day exploring.
