This nice residence is fully furnished and has four roomy bedrooms. The master room has a walking-in-closet. It has a living room, dining room, two bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen. The high ceiling and window system on top and between the areas inside the home, provide excellent ventilation, keeping it at a nice temperature environmentally friendly. Its two spacious balconies provide the perfect space to rest or to simply enjoy the cozy nature of Puerto Rico, accompanied by the singing of the great diversity of birds that live in the area. Located on the landlocked mountainous of the center of the Island, sacred place for our ancestors the Taino Indians, the property was part of a former coffee farm and has an extension of 7.5 acres, which you will be able to explore and be in contact with nature.
Inside Home: In the center of the house lies a small interior courtyard which will provide you a refreshing atmosphere. In this area the ceiling is a dome higher than in the rest of the house with a skylight that allows sunlight illuminates the interior courtyard.
We also run Batey Zipline Adventure, a nature adventure company that offer tours around the Tanamá river area (about 10 minutes away from the house) and include activities like zip lining, rappelling, caving, river kayaking, forest hiking, suspension bridge, and horseback riding. Our guests receive a 10% discount on all zipline tours!
Other Attractions: If you want to stay in touch with nature and enjoy exciting and interesting historical sites, environmental and scientists, this is the place for you. Caguana Indian Ceremonial Park – dates back to 1200 AD and was the most important ceremonial center of Taino culture in the West Indies. This Ceremonial Park is located only two kilometers from the house. Rio Camuy Cave Park – is an extensive cave system, considered one of the most important in the Western Hemisphere. Famous for its subterranean river, Rio Camuy, world´s third largest subterranean river. Lago Dos Bocas – is a large, beautiful, winding reservoir. You can take the ferry leaving from the principal dock to one of the many restaurants on the water´s edge.
Only half hour from house you can enjoy a lot of others interesting attractions that complete an exciting and educational tourist circuit. Arecibo Observatory – the largest and most sensitive Radio telescope of the World is part of the National Astronomy and Ionosphere Center (NAIC). In your visit, you can enjoy it´s educational program: “More than Meets the Eyes – Exploring the Invisible Universe”. Rio Abajo Forest Reserve - covers more than 5000 acres of land and it features limestone caves, underground rivers, beautiful forest and an abundance of wildlife.
