Enjoyable convenient stay (1 week Jan 2024) at the residential section (Sun Valley) of Hotel Vancouver in La Plagne Soleil. Large comfortable functional room, balcony with fabulous view. Decent powerful shower over the bath, endless hot water. Excellent breakfast (cereal, fresh fruit, meats, cheeses, croissant, bread, cake, scrambled eggs, bacon, salmon, coffee etc). Bring own tea bags if you prefer a brew of traditional english breakfast tea. Swimming Pool with steam room, sauna & hot tub - ideal for stretching out aches & pains after a long day on the slopes. Pool temperature was fine. Ski / Boot room on lower ground floor with large lockers for each specific hotel room (fully lockable & secure). No immediate access to slopes from boot room, only a minute walk to blue run behind hotel (via tunnel walkway next to Intersport), takes you down to Bergerie lift. Handy Spar shop across road from Hotel (near ESF meeting point & bars). Highly recommend Le Monica's (restaurant & pizzeria) with great outside decked Apres ski area overlooking slopes; also has cool pub on lower ground floor with ski/snowboarders vibe. I stopped over en route for England. Hotel has facilities I didn't use. Restaurant food very good service most helpful.

This was our second family ski holiday staying at Madame Vacances Hotel Le Mottaret and we have been very impressed on both occasions. The very helpful and friendly staff are excellent. The location of the hotel is right next to the slope, a 30 second stroll from the hotel entrance. There is a ski equipment hire shop on the premises which is very convenient. The lounge/bar area is very comfortable and cosy after a day on the slopes, as well as the very soothing jacuzzi located outside at the front of the hotel. The swimming pool/spa area is also very relaxing. We stayed on half-board. The buffet breakfast is fantastic and each evening there was a different theme for the buffet dinner. We really enjoyed every meal! Our room was clean and comfortable and the shower was amazing! We would thoroughly recommend a stay here and we hope to be back again soon too!

We enjoyed staying at the hotel. Location is very good with shops , restaurants, ski schools within 6mins walking distance. There is sauna and steam room in the hotel which is really good after a long day of skiing. Breakfast is ok with reasonable options.
