Awesome Rental
This is the perfect place to unwind and forget about life's troubles. Check-in was very easy and the house was spotless when we arrived. Lots of space in the house and definitely the best stocked kitchen of any rental that I've stayed in.

Perfect for gatherings!
This was our 2nd year of celebrating Christmas at the lodge, which was beautiful decorated for the holidays. Our family of 10 had plenty of room and the grandkids really enjoy the loft area. The owners take pride in their well maintained facility … it’s clean, comfortable, and well equipped. They have a nice outdoor area, fire pit, and just a short walk to the lake.

Nice getaway
We had a nice time with family here. Not many activities to do close by but we were looking for a quiet getaway so we were fine with that. Kitchen was well stocked and house and area around was clean. Only complaint was water in showers never got hot enough. We would recommend!

Great accommodations!!
This property is Perfect for a family get together! We were in town for Auburn football and while it is a bit of a distance it was so worth it! The setting is gorgeous. Beautiful trees and lovely Lake. We had a campfire every night. The inside is spacious with HUGE TV!! The beds and linens were very comfortable. We cooked quite a bit and the kitchen had everything. We will be back!!

Great house. Very clean. Loved everything about the layout. Beautiful place. The only suggestion turn hot water heater up just a little. The temperature for showers was just a little cooler than we like. Other than that it was perfect.

Country Oasis
The Newnmor lodge was exceptional in every way! The host were super kind and easy to contact if we needed anything during our stay.We were celebrating my daughter's graduation and the place was able to accommodate everyone perfectly. Not to mention the beauty of the space. The cabin vibe along with the personal touches made the area welcoming and comfortable. The short walk to the lake puts the cherry on top of the cake! Having the option to fish or just kick back and relax by the water was so serene! My family could not stop bragging on this place. We will definitely be visiting again!

Great for a group
This property was wonderful. Everything was as it is described in the listing despite the pictures not including all of the beds/rooms. The property is right near the water and offered a wonderful outdoor space. The outdoor seating area lacks a little privacy since cars were driving by to reach the RV park but we parked a car to block the area and it work out great. Also, the address on the listing is not the one that Google Maps used to get us there so we had some trouble finding the place.

Girl Scout Summer Trip
We had such an amazing time! The property is absolutely beautiful. It was very clean, spacious and had everything we needed. The campground next to the lodge was never an issue. The house was still very quiet and we had plenty of privacy. The dinning room table was one of our favorite things about the house. All the girls could sit together to eat, work on their badges and play games. And the property was a quick drive over to Callaway Gardens! It was truly wonderful! The girls had the time of their lives! We hope to bring them back again!

Christmas at the Cabins
My family and I stayed here during the Christmas Holidays and we loved it. It was more than enough room for us all. Very clean, spacious and up-to-date. The property owners were very nice to decorate the cabin with holiday attire and also put up a 9ft Christmas tree. Everyone enjoyed s'mores by the campfire and the walks by the lake. The property owners were very easy to contact after I thought I left parts of my grand daughter's dollhouse. This is a very quiet and serene property. I would definitely book it again. It was just what we needed to have a happy holiday.

Holiday/Wedding weekend
We booked this property for our wedding party to hang out and get dressed at. We ended up having family over for Thanksgiving, spent the wedding day there and had friends over for a football game gathering. This property accommodated everyone and was absolutely perfect! Our wedding photographer got some beautiful shots inside, our friends and their children loved being able to hang out on the large porch, fishing on the waters edge, and the large kitchen was definitely a hit with the family chefs. We are already looking for a reason to rent it again. The property owners were a dream to work with, and made the best weekend of our life possible. Highly recommend.

Wedding
We had absolutely the day ever!!! Not only was the property perfect but so were the hosts. This was the best setting for my daughters wedding. We are from Florida. My daughter and fiancé from California and the grooms family from Alabama. The ambiance was surreal. There were so many options for the ceremony, dinner and reception. It was very hot that day so we stayed close to the house. If a little bit cooler we would had put the ceremony at the point. All in all the day was perfect and I could not have asked for a better venue for our daughters wedding.

Great cabin!
We had a great time here. We were in town for a friend's wedding and needed a place that had extra beds just in case someone decided to stay in town vs driving back home after the reception. This house has a loft with extra bunk beds which was perfect. From the listing, I thought the lake/river was right out the back door but it's actually down a path and about 500 feet away from the house. Not a deal breaker but I was looking forward to waking up to a view of the lake. The property was clean and looked relatively new. I was also glad to see that there wasn't a huge list of really weird rules and threats of extra charges like some other cabins I have rented over the years. There are extra cleaning fees charged if you leave the place a disaster but that is pretty reasonable. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and we would recommend this property to others.

Great Escape to Lake Harding
We had such a pleasant trip staying at Newmor River Preserve. The property was just lovely, winding through the property were logging roads now transformed to walking paths. The waterfront is stunning. Easily the best river front property we have stayed at. We were concerned at first of the proximity of the "RV campground" located adjacent to the house. But our neighbors were respectful, friendly and quite. We only saw one younger family our entire stay. We traveled with our dogs and they had the best time. There was plenty of room for them to explore and burn energy outside and also had ample room in doors which helped them relax to their new surroundings. The house is amazing. It is open and huge the inside. Think, if Bruce Wayne or Tony Stark had a lake house! I see no reason why a group of 12 couldn't comfortably vacation here and still have enough space and breathing room to truly enjoy the stay. Everything was well thought of, we will definitely be back, next time with friends or family to share the space and experience with. You will not regret staying here!

Christmas Getaway for the Family
Christmas is a difficult time for our family due to the death of several family members in 2017. The past few years, we have take a Christmas getaway to make new and lasting memories for our family. This year we decided to go to Callaway Gardens and Wild Animal Safari in Pine Mountain, we located The Lodge at NewMor River Preserve and feel in love with the property. We were a little concern with the RV Resort being so close to the property, but it was not an issue - real quiet and not a lot of traffic. The lodge was beautiful and truly enough space for everyone to enjoy a little down time. Richard and Carrie Newton were so helpful, patient, and understanding - they decorated the Lodge for Christmas (the grandkids were so excited over the Christmas trees). We enjoyed some shopping, loved the lights at Callaway Gardens, and got to see lots of animals at Wild Animal Safari but it was nice to come back to the Lodge to enjoy time as a family. We set up a Hot Chocolate Bar, painted little wooden Nut Crackers for Christmas, the kids drew lots of pictures for everyone, watched movies and enjoyed spending time together as a family. We hope to visit the Lodge again during the summer so the grandkids can enjoy spending time at the lake. The Lodge would be recommended to everyone as a place to stay for its beauty, quiet, and laid back atmosphere. Alice
