"The pictures set some high expectations, but the location was even more amazing. There is a cabin behind this one, but no one is close on the front, so the views are wonderful and the area feels very private. The cabin itself is very spacious, with high ceilings upstairs and a lot of sleeping options. Great outdoor seating on the porch, and a charcoal grill. The town is super small, but only a short walk away and there’s a great local pub right on the water."

They didn't answer messages and the number listed was to a car rental, which made me think at first it was a scam. They didn't respond until after I had contacted VRBO customer service, and they apologized because they don't get many listings on VRBO. I should also note that the hotel is centrally located, thought it is difficult to not be since Alesund is walkable regardless of where one might stay in the "sentrum" area. "

"Loved the property! Our king room on a higher floor had an amazing view of the town and water. View was just as good from our window as it was from that steep hike you can do to overlook the town. Ceiling to floor windows. We left curtains open all night it was so pretty. Staff was great. Friendly and nice Only criticism is parking. Had to parallel park on the hilly streets and move the car by like 7am or pay a lot for hotel lot. But parking in Norway at hotels is expensive and rare"
