The charming pier has stood on this site since 1872 and remains an integral part of the local culture. Part of the pier’s charm is the rickety, wooden appearance of its surface, which is supported by wooden pilings. Ventura Pier is near Downtown Ventura at the western end of town. Ride a bus to one of the stops at the back of the bay or take the Amtrak train to Ventura Station. Walk southeast from the station for less than 15 minutes to reach the pier. Nearby attractions include the Surfers’ Point Park, the Jim Hall Track Time go-kart complex and the Seaside Wilderness Park.
