VILLA SALVATOROSA VICO EQUENSE (PRIVATE POOL)

Located in the heart of the Sorrento Peninsula, the area of Vico Equense stretches gently along the beautiful coastline and crystal clear waters and countryside overlooking the magnificent Gulf of Naples.
Villa Salvatorosa is located in a hilly area, just 5 km from the center of Vico Equense. Ideal for a peaceful vacation, this part of Italy has much to offer: from the typical products that can be tasted in the many restaurants and trattorias of Vico Equense, to day trips by land and sea to the most famous locations both from the point of view of the landscape and the cultural heritage of this region: Pompeii, Sorrento, Capri, Positano, Amalfi are just some of the recommended destinations.
Salvatorosa is an independent villa and has private access and outdoor spaces, a 6x3m swimming pool and a well-equipped BQ area for the exclusive use of guests. From its terraces, you can enjoy breathtaking views and beautiful sunsets. The villa is located just outside the ancient village from which it was named and can be reached after a walk of about 500 meters through the picturesque streets of the village. In San Salvatore you can find a grocery store and the local bus stop that connects the village to the center of Vico Equense, while there is a metro station in Vico Equense that connects the town to Pompeii, Sorrento, and Naples.
The Village of San Salvatore is also an ideal starting point for those who enjoy hiking along the scenic trails of the Sorrento Peninsula.
The nearest beach is in Vico Equense, but don't miss a visit to Seiano beach about 7 km from the village, where you will find a variety of excellent restaurants and trattorias.

Absolutely beautiful villa in Vico Equense!
We had a great time in Villa Salvatorosa. The villa ia beautiful with a lovely landscaping and fantastic views. There is a great mix of sleeping arrangements that worked perfectly for our family. The kitchen and main living area are super cute. We didnt make much use of the pool as it was a little cool the days we were there but my kids enjoyed it and the outdoor space in general is really nice. But the best thing about the villa is Luigi and is family (especially his son Salvatore). They helped us with our bags at check in and check out, treated us to a meal, advised me on the bus and train system in town, and Salvatore went the extra mile to give a few of us a lift from the bus stop when my mom was having a hard time with the hills. I would absolutely return with our group and stay for a longer time!

Our stay was incredible. The location was perfect for us…local shops near by, amazing views and the train station was only 15 minutes drive away with regular trains to Sorrento and Pompei. The hosts were amazing with directions and making sure we had the best stay. They were on hand for anything we needed and was very accommodating with lifts back and forth to the station when buses or taxis were not available. I would definitely stay again!

Just perfect
From check in to check out, the owners have been there for all our needs. Luigi and his family were so kind. We felt as if we were part of their extended family. Their pool was the perfect escape from a hot day of excursions. The villa has a beautiful vista… the sunset view is just amazing. Everything at the villa has been thoroughly thought out. From outdoor shower to the Nespresso maker... We appreciated the details of everything. Truly a gem away from the busy touristy areas. Vico Equense has wonderful restaurants of their own. The closest restaurant Gioghetto has one of the best pizzas in the area. Thanks again Luigi and family for our wonderful vacation.

Peaceful Paradise
This property is amazing and was one of the highlights of our trip to Italy. Very private, up on the hill with views of the ocean. Luigi and his son Salvatore were the most helpful hosts of any vacation home we have ever booked. They picked us up at the train station, cooked us pasta, and arranged car transportation for excursions. The home is beautiful, with tons of character. We wish we had more time there to fully soak in the beauty of it. There is a tiny town close by with a great restaurant as well as a little market for all your immediate needs. We loved Luigi’s place.

Amazing place
We loved everything about the villa. Stunning location and a perfect getaway from the busy streets below. The outdoor space was magical and the sunsets are out of this world. Our host Luigi and his son Salvatore looked after us well, and are very responsive. The only thing to note is that it is a climb to the villa and taxis can inly go so far due to tight winding roads. The local shop is small. Be prepared to take supplies from the town - the cooking facilities were excellent. Absolutely wonderful stay with family and friends and would truly recommended.

Fantastic place with great views and nice quirky, bohemian bits. Great hosting from Luigi, Salvatore and family, very helpful with local information, transfers, and taxi help. Couldn’t ask for better helpful hosts. The house I has great sunset views, well placed to get the train to Pompei, Herculaneum, etc. The village has local shops with all the basics you need, plus Pizza restaurant, local cheese shop, nice bakery. Would thoroughly recommend as a place to stay.

Amazing property in hilltop village
8 of us had a great time at Villa Salvatorosa. It is a spectacular property with amazing views. The outside space is fantastic. The village of San Salvatore is quiet, with very narrow roads to negotiate, but you feel like you are in a typical village away from the busier town of Vico Equense. It has a food shop and excellent pizzaria. You can walk down to Vico Equense in 25/30 mins, but then you do need to get a bus back up again! Luigi and Anna and their son are lovely and very helpful. I hope we can go back one day.

We had the best time ever! The villa is absolutely beautiful and the views are unbeatable. Luigi and his family made our stay a pleasure. We would not hesitate to return and cannot rate the villa highly enough. Pompeii and Capri are easily commutable and a lovely pizzeria is within walking distance. The location was so perfect our daughter got engaged. Don't hesitate to book!

Wonderful house in a beautiful setting
What a wonderful house, beautifully presented and full of little touches like a kettle, teabags, soap, toaster, tupperware, pool towels, bowl of fruit on arrival. A quiet location within walking distance of Lena’s fruit and veg shop, Colomba’s supermarket and La Pulcinella bar, not to forget Il Ginghetto restaurant and Nonno Luigino’s agro turismo for dinner under the lemon groves. Luigi the owner was so welcoming and always available to answer questions. The kitchen is rustic but brilliantly equipped and cooking in the outdoor kitchen was fun! The pool was clean and welcomingly cool and the beds comfortable - the air conditioning a blessing to cool the bedrooms at night. The locals are lovely and friendly and made us feel welcome. We found a few trails to walk and run on, and it was easy to pop down into Vico Equense to stroll around or catch the little train to Sorrento. Luigi organised a boat for the day for us with a crew - they picked us up in the village and dropped us back there. I would thoroughly recommend this house if you want an authentic and comfortable stay near the bay of Naples 😀

Beautiful property. Pool is delightful. Host very responsive. The views are lovely and townspeople very friendly. You can walk to a small market, a vegetable store, a cafe and butcher. There are local buses down to Vico Equense. It is in the countryside up a hill. You need to enjoy peace and quiet. Not easy to get a car up to the property itself. We were a party of 7 . The host was very helpful in arranging transportation and excursions. Would want to stay here again in the future.

Beautiful property in a great location
After landing at Naples we headed to our the Villa in a taxi. (be careful when getting a taxi from the airport, do not go with those that approach you, be sure to go to the taxi rank which is policed) The trip is about 40 minutes to an hour depending on traffic and cost around $130. Trains are also available however you will need to taxi from the airport to Naples train station. After arriving in Vico Equense we were a little early for our check in so headed to the centre where there are some lovely bars and restaurants. When it was time to head to the Villa the barman very kindly ordered the four of us a taxi which cost around $25. The other half of our group hired a car at the airport which they parked at the garage belonging to the Villa. (A minibus is available for use between the garage and Villa as there is limited parking at the Villa. This all makes more sense when you arrive but we had no issues) We were very warmly welcomed by Luigi and his family who could not have been more helpful. The Villa is beautiful and very stylish with a lovely pool and plenty of outside seating. The villa was immaculately clean and provides towels. The only items we had to purchase were a dish cloth/dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid. The third bedroom is less private than the others as it is the access to the fourth, however this caused little issue as the fourth bedroom can be entered from the outside and would be perfect for children. A short walk away you will find a bakery, butchers, grocery store, green grocers and some small local cafe's. You will also find a lovely pizzeria just a short walk away which fed 7 of us for just over $50. We were able to get a number for a local taxi driver who ended up driving us most places on our trip. He was very friendly and reliable which allowed us to move around very easily. The train from Vico Equense to Sorrento takes just ten minutes. On one occasion Luigi kindly took four of us to Positano in his car and charged less than a taxi would. He also organised a boat trip for us to Capri which was wonderful (though not appropriate for anyone who is succeptible to sea sickness!). The whole area is beautiful and the Villa offers a brilliantly authentic experience and value for money. I will certainly consider visiting again and thank Luigi and his family very much for their hospitality.

The pictures corresponded well to reality. My family got a very warm welcome from Luigi and his family. The view was spectacular. The service was very good and we received good information and help when we needed. The villa is calmly situated away from the busy tourist places. It had all the equipment you need, we especially loved the grill. The pool was good sized and was cleaned every day! The Luigi family really respected our privacy. I can’t wait to come here again. My whole family of seven enjoyed every minute at the villa. (The youngest is 7 and the oldest 72). Thanks for a fantastic week!!!

Lovely villa and helpful hosts
Vico Equense's a pretty town with fewer crowds than Sorrento but equally spectacular views. As for the Villa itself, it was lovely, and Luigi and Salvatore were very helpful. The kids loved the pool. I recommend checking out the cheese shop (Caseificio Starace) and restaurant (Pizzeria Ristorante Da Gighetto) a 2-3-minute walk down the road. A note to elderly folks and people with health challenges: the last few meters to the Villa are up an incline--to be expected when you're staying on the side of a steep hill with amazing views, but it wore out my 80-year-old dad.

Vielen Dank!
