"Simply the prettiest place we have visited! Breathtaking and the apartment is in a great position. Everyone in the building was friendly and our kids had a great time. They loved the pool and jumping in the lake. "This apartment was a great place to stay while on Lake Como. It was clean, quiet and comfortable. Be sure to have a reliable car to get you up all the switchbacks and try to arrive during the day so you can look for all the appropriate landmarks as you find your way."

"The place was great. On point to the review online everything in place, clean, lots of free space for big families. Quiet and beautiful view. Amazing owners that helped us a lot in every way we needed. The only downside I think about is the mattress being quite old, older folks with back problems we had a hard time to sleep and wake up. Overall a great place. "

It is a little noisy as it’s right beside the main road so bring ear plugs as that made it better at night to sleep. "Pro's and cons: Pro's first: good location, a short drive from Luino, a good sized lakeside town. You can take ferries from Luino all round the lake, including to the Borromean islands. You'll have to spend some time aquainting yourself with the ferry timetable and a map of the lake. Nothing much goes on in Dumenza itself. "The apartment has an amazing view and Alex was a great host. The apartment is on the East side of Lake Maggiore, for us this was not a problem as we like it quiet. We had a lovely week, thank you Alex."

"We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The food was great. The staff are very helpful and friendly. We loved our room since it had a beautiful view of the city and lake. It had a kitchen with a full size fridge, but unfortunately pots, pans and utensils were not included. We highly recommend this hotel, and whenever we are in Lugano we will definitely stay here. "We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel and for us, it was a perfect stop to explore the area. If you are looking for full a service hotel, it's not for you but as we weren't, it's easy relaxed feel was just right. Complimetary tea/coffee/cake is in reception, you can have as many cups as possible and we enjoyed the croissants in the morning. A very nice lounge area with a pool table and a small shop to buy drinks, alcohol and other snacks is available. To eat there is a restaurant across the road and hotel residents get a discount, we enjoyed the choice there, self service style but lots to choose from. The staff were super helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble"
