The bakery and coffee shop downstairs is great in the morning, and they offer a discount to guests (be sure to tell them, they don’t ask and don’t advertise it). Somethings are not explicitly clear, like the basement (floor zero in the elevator) is where the luggage store room is. "The hotel staff are very friendly and attend to guests needs quickly. The food is excellent and the chef produced excellent evening meals. Rooms are big and the bathroom had both bath and shower so you could soak out the cold after a day out. Hotel is just outside city centre but public transport is easy to use."

"This hotel was a great place to stay for 7 nights. The staff were all wonderful and the breakfast and dinner options were great. Their breakfast buffet was by far the best I've had at any hotel. There is also a second restaurant/convenience store located on the grounds where we were able to get snacks for our stay. Booking our rental car through them was also incredibly easy and convenient. The rooms were spacious and nicely decorated and provided everything you may need for your stay. The staff were accommodating, friendly, and good at communicating when I had questions before we even arrived to the country via email. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to travel to Iceland who wanted to stay on the peninsula. Reykjavik is only a 45 minute drive away and we were in a convenient location for all the tours we wanted to do, as well as the Blue Lagoon."
