"We started out by staying on the Kona side. We also knew that to go to the National Park would require more time, so we booked one night with you. It truly was not enough time. Your online listing does not do you justice. All 5 of us wanted more time in the Jungalow! Everything was perfect! Cozy, charming, peaceful and everything we needed to unwind. We will plan accordingly the next time we come. Thank you."

"We loved our time here! The property is just like the photos and it's so close to Volcanoes National Park. There was an eruption the day we arrived and we were able to get to it in 10 minutes. It's also just beautiful to be surrounded nature. A comment: there weren't any blinds/curtains, so be aware when the sun comes through in the morning."

"It was a great place to stay. I would definitely stay there again. It was super quiet, clean, close to volcano. The only thing I would say is the driveway had a huge hole if maybe it could be filled with rocks and the soap dispenser was stuck. Oh yeah and the coffee pot didn’t work. All in all they brought us soap right and way with a new coffee maker. Definitely would stay there again😃"

"Beautiful respite in the rainforest just a few minutes away from Volcanoes National Park. We loved the huge green tree ferns and the flowers surrounding the property, giving it a private fantasy feeling, just like the pictures on the website. We loved the jacuzzi amongst the moss and ferns. We enjoyed the sounds of the many frogs and birds."

"This is an absolutely lovely home in the jungle, with lots of wood and high ceilings. The big lanai is a beautiful spot to relax. The house is spacious, with a nice kitchen and dining area. It would be perfect for a family or 2 or even 3 couples. And it is close to Volcano National Park. One thing to remember is that it gets gold in the jungle at night. The gas fire place warms up the living space, but bedrooms can be cold, so bring warm jammies."

"The experience of staying at Kalani Oceanside Retreat was very relaxing and beautiful. We enjoyed the yoga class we signed up for very much. The people we encountered, both guests and staff, were great to talk with. The cottage we stayed at had lots of room and we had a fabulous view of the ocean and grounds around us."

"The Thomas Guard house is a gem in Hilo. The location is perfect - not in the middle of the city but close enough to walk to local restaurants. "Relaxing, peaceful stay. Kay's place is easy short walk to Manini Beach for snorkeling and water activities. It's a great place for investigating things along the Kona coast. Host was very responsive, helpful, and answered all of our questions."

Peaceful, comfortable suites in montane forest

"Very quiet setting. We stayed in the Wolfie Suites, which were very clean and had a nice sitting room in addition to the bedroom. Very comfortable beds. There are no staff on the premises and you have to check in at a store which is a few minutes drive away. They prefer to know in advance exactly what time you expect to arrive for check in. Location only a mile from the park entrance was great."
