Charming older style cottage .

9.0 out of 10, Wonderful, (146)
"Fabulous historic cottage. On a dead end road, right next to amazing walking tracks. Museum up the road is a must. Swimming hole at bottom of the garden in the river, bliss. Very homely and comfortable. Beautiful pottery around home from creative owner. A little tip, bring the insect repellent! Loved it here, would come back. "

Quiet, secluded, iconic bush bach

9.2 out of 10, Wonderful, (51)
"A well aged puzzle piece bach, in NZ forest, tucked down a dead end road. Surprising amount of traffic on the road during our stay. Neighbours were quite noisy also but the bach had everything we needed. Hot water for a shower was a bonus. The old Shacklock range is prone to smoking out the bach but I think we figured it out after a few days. Reliable cell service is back at the Orwell Creek Road turnoff, for those wondering. For a last minute booking, it worked out well and appreciate the good...

The Old Nurses Home Guesthouse

2.5 star property
8.6 out of 10, Excellent, (56)
"I loved the quiet, the charm & character of the 1940s building, the collection of antique medical objets & historic local photos. It was cosy and a comfortable warmth thanks to the central radiator heating throughout. I was definitely not too hot in my room. Very clean & all the facilities that I needed - access to a large freezer & a bath was a welcome added bonus also. Lovely grounds. Very friendly, helpful & welcoming service from the manager Shontal."
