A hotel that made me smile!
"This is a really, really lovely hotel. It is a little bit of a step back in time, but in a lovely way. A really grand building that has been well kept whilst it is still possible to imagine how grand it would have appeared to people when first built. It made me smile whenever I was walking around it. I was there on business, but Carlisle seems like a very interesting place ... I will be back to both Carlisle and the Crown and Mitre!"

"Best hotel stay during my trip to Scotland. This was my second time at this hotel. I reserved the same room and they obliged me. I’m a cancer patient and they suggested room service for breakfast and they delivered with professional courtesy."
