"The facilities in the room were good. Dove products in the bathroom were appreciated. Usb points were appreciated. Breakfast was good. Parking was fine. £15 for 2 fill days after discount code used. Only issue was lack of eating places nearby. We stayed 2 nights, Sunday and Monday. On the Sunday we were turned away from local restaurants between 4-5pm as we did not have a booking. No gaps later either. Apparently Sundays are always busy and being "payday weekend" everything was...

"This place was ideal for me on my journey across the UK. I called to inform of check in quite late, e.g. 8.30-9pm, was no trouble and even offered food if I was going to be later. Arrived around 8pm, all the food looked good, lovely menu for indian cuisine. Rooms are in a building adjacent, can park outside your room. nice and clean, bottled water & toiletries - a little dated in some aspects but nothing wrong, will use again."

Even though next to the owners house, the lodge orientated to be nicely private with barely another property in sight. It contained everything needed for a comfortable stay and the bed is big enough to party in (also good for sleeping). The two friendly spaniels peering through the window to say hello were a bonus too."

"We were really disappointed on arrival as the hotel was covered in scaffolding and the entrance looked much more like a 1970s multi-storey carpark than a 4* hotel. The stairs (the lift was out of order), reception area and room were very dated. The soundproofing in the bathroom was non-existent (my wife could hear everything next door). Having said that the beds were comfortable, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was ok."
