Although I didn't ultimately stay at Hazelbrook, I would like to commend the manager, Graham, for his professionalism & resilience, in twice finding alternative accommodation when it proved not to be possible for me to stay there, then understanding when my own plans changed at the last moment. This was a most impressive example of excellent customer service in challenging circumstances.
They contacted me 4 days before my arrival date to say that the location to stay changed, they when I arrived no one seemed to know about my reservation, I drove back to the B&B and the host said that he was mad about the situation but there was no room for me. Expedia never answered me either. At least they arranged to find another location to stay at night, it was under construction building but at least a place to sleep, this was the worst experience for sure.
Booked for college as i only had 2 weeks and when i received a call confirmation i realised that it was for a different BnB, which i had been moved to without notice or permission.
The host was gracious and accommodating though we were surprised to find they only accepted cash payment. The room itself was quite small, and modestly outfitted. Bedding was stained and threadbare, no toiletry amenities, and shower was in poor condition. The room appeared “cleaned”, but bed/pillows were worn and rather uncomfortable (not to mention the stains on linens that were off putting).
Awful experience. Got shunted to an unauthorised sub standard house a few days beforehand. Lady insisted on cash only and wouldn’t provide breakfast.
My booking clearly states breakfast included. I am not willing to be taken advantage of so left..
Shame on you greedy @hazelbrook

Very very basic. It was just about ok for our one night stay. Didn’t get the 4 person room I reserved. Instead got split across 2 rooms, one was a double room with a fold up bed on the floor other was an attic room where you couldn’t standup (looked like it had been just set up for us).
Host insisted on cash up on arrival, bathroom were unclean and a little smelly. Rooms where dusty with visible mould.
We literally slept over night and moved on so it was ok, glad we weren’t staying longer. It was the only place I could reserve on that night but wouldn’t recommend this location.

I didn't realize how far this was from the key areas of Waterford or that it was such a basic accommodation. It is fine if you understand these factors.
AVOID! Upon arrival, the owner insisted on cash and that we would receive no breakfast even though our receipt clearly acknowledged our reservation which included free breakfast. In our room on the back of the door there was another sign indicating what time breakfast was being served, yet we were excluded and others were receiving breakfast the next morning. Our room was tiny, dirty and I killed numerous insects within the first couple of hours. The bed was a very old box spring, which had springs protruding out of the fabric so sharply that my hand actually got caught on the spring while moving my hand across the bed. The bathroom was dirty, had no soap and had towels so old and rough I wouldn’t even use them to wash my car. There was no Wi-Fi, there were people yelling and children running around the hallways until past 11 pm. All of this, and an atmosphere that reminded me of a funeral home while also being in a terrible location. There is a Travelodge down the street.
NOT RECOMMENDED! Room was tired to say the least. The Bathroom/ shower room was the main problem with the accommodation, water pressure was none existence, you had to be pretty fit to open & close the shower doors. The toiletwas appalling with sewerage smell continual. On arrival the proprietor requested cash and advising no breakfast was avaliable. And suggesting the card was only a fall back, I advised that I would sort in the morning, he said he had heard that before, I can understand why, if you spent a night in that room, the payment of the full amout might become an issue.
