Step Back In Time
From the moment we arrived, we were in awe of this property. The antique furniture was perfect for this 1912 mansion. It was so fun to imagine what life would have been like 100 yrs. ago. We enjoyed playing pool in the billiard room and sitting on the porch outside. Our dog enjoyed being able to roam the property and lay on the beautiful rolling lawns. Sandy the caretaker was very nice and she gives you a tour of the mansion so she can answer any questions you may have about the property. The house was very clean and organized. If you are looking to have an amazing old time experience, this is definitely the property!!

Marvelous Mansion
We had a great time at this beautiful, clean mansion! The house and kitchen were stocked with just about everything you needed. The weather didn’t cooperate, so we spent most of our time playing on the beautiful pool table. We would definitely stay here again when/if in the area.

Lots of charm and beautiful home
We loved the home it was so beautiful and the fireplaces were also amazing! If I could change anything I would ask for a TV in the livingroom to have have family movie night by the fireplace. We are big TV people and missed binging a show on couch by the fire. The kitchen TV could be moved to livingroom that would be perfect!

Winter Mountain Escape
The Waverly offers a large, secluded property that comfortably slept our two large families plus pets. The house comes equipped with everything we needed to cook and entertain for a long holiday weekend. Elk Mountain ski resort was about 25-mins away and offered great skiing without the oppressive crowds that we often find at the Poconos resorts. We look forward to staying again!

Perfect home base for family reunion
We stayed at the Waverly Mansion as part of a larger family get together in the local area. We set out to find "just a place to stay" and we ended up finding the Waverly Mansion. The house fit out needs perfectly (including allowing our pups to join us). The house had something for everyone as our ages ranged from 10 - 76 including an immense outdoor space, plenty of games, pool table, working fireplaces, outdoor fire pit, and plenty of charm. Just name it, the Waverly Mansion has it. Sandy was a terrific property manager and was very responsive to our needs. Now that we know about the Waverly Mansion, we will plan on staying there again during our next visit with family in the Scranton / Clarks Summit area.

Everything about this place was wonderful! The kitchen was well equipped and there were so many sitting areas and places for us to hang out. Outside the flowers and birds were lovely and inside had all the items we needed.

We had a blast staying at the manse for a few days while in town for a family wedding. We used to live in town so this was a great way for us to come back and have a fun base of operations to spread out and entertain.

Excellent Family Vacation!
Waverly Mansion is a large home on an incredible piece of land. The caretaker, Sandy, made sure we were comfortable and each day of our trip we found more to investigate in the surrounding hills and woods. We enjoyed watching the deer and the incredible variety of birds that ate at the feeders right outside the windows. Our son enjoyed sledding down the hill after a snow squall. Each fireplace was ready to be lit and extra wood was available inside to ensure we were toasty throughout our stay. The remainder of the house was meticulously prepared and ready for our visit. We could not have been more pleased with our choice and would certainly recommend Waverly Mansion to others.

Magical Place frozen in time
We have spent a long weekend at the house while skiing at Elk mountains. A perfect location for my family, with an abundance of space and very private gardens surrounding it. The interiors are historically kept and the house is oh so charming. You really feel like you stepped into 1920. I love that it was dog-friendly and that the downstairs had no TV (each bedroom has private TV) as it allowed us to play games and read in front of the many fireplaces. Don't think twice, just rent it. We visit in the winter but will definitely be back in the summer and fall.

Like going back in time!
This house is amazing. Everything was just as described if not better. Sandy made staying there simple and did all she could to make us comfortable. Her breakfast starts the day right. Great location, convenient to anything you may need, but once you turn in the driveway you are brought back in time and nature. Would definitely do it again!
