Sugar Cabin is a comfortable and nicely furnished log cabin nestled on a wooded lot in the Sugar Valley Springs neighborhood near the historic town of Waynesville and Maggie Valley.. The Smoky Mountain National Park and Cataloochee Valley area are few miles away with quick access to amazing day hikes, breathtaking vistas, waterfalls and rivers, and the world-renowned Blue Ridge Parkway.. The cabin is only a short drive to the Cataloochee Ski Area while the City of Asheville, with all its great restaurants, shops, breweries, art galleries, architectural marvels, and funky/hip yet sophisticated vibe is a mere thirty-five minutes away. Access to the Blue Ridge Parkway is easy, while Waynesville and Maggie Valley offer restaurants, grocery and drug stores, wine cellars, antique shops and most anything else you might require. Take amazing day trips, hikes, and adventures, and return to your cozy cabin to recoup and relax for the evening.
Sugar Cabin is fully stocked with furnishings, appliances, linens, kitchen ware, etc., accommodates up to five people, (4 adults and 1 children) with two in the principal bedroom in a hickory pole king-sized bed and ensuite bathroom with shower, two in the guest room with a queen-sized bed, and one in the open living area on a high-quality inflatable queen-sized bed. A second bathroom with shower, tub and washer and dryer is situated between the bedrooms and common area. The living area and principal bedroom open, via sliding glass doors, to the expansive wood deck with rocking chairs, Adirondack chairs, a swinging bench, a fire table and a Bristol table ideal for relaxing while enjoying views of the valley below and mountains beyond.
Entertainment is provided by a new 65-inch 4K smart TV (Prime Video, Netflix, YouTube, etc.) in the living area, as well as a TV with Roku in the principal bedroom. High speed Wi-Fi internet access is provided, and a desk offers a dedicated place for laptop sessions in the common area. Board games and cards are provided for fun evenings. A Weber propane grill sits just outside the living area, and the large open kitchen (supplied with all new cutlery, chinaware, pots, pans, and equipment) features a gas oven and stove with a flat griddle built in. A remotely controlled gas fireplace in the living room offers ample warmth and a soothing ambiance on cold nights, while a central HVAC system delivers heated or cooled air to the cabin as needed. Ceiling fans in the living room and each bedroom enhance year-round comfort.
