"The hotel's facade and lobby are simply old school gorgeous! Clearly a lot of history here. Our check-in was swift, and the man who checked us in was thoughtful and kind. Unfortunately, the heater in our initial room was broken, and it took some time to get a manager then maintenance in there. It could not be repaired with us in the room, but the maintenance guy said the front desk would call us shortly with the new room number. After an hour wait in a room that was actually colder than next to the front doors in the lobby (I never took off my coat, hat, or scarf), I called the front desk. I had to come down. Agh. Miscommunication there someplace, and we were FREEZING. But we got a very nice alternate room on the same floor, and we were very happy with that (heater AND a better view AND more room!) Central to Manhattan, across the street from Starby's and Liberty Bagel, attentive staff, and excellent restaurants right on the premises! Will stay here again when in Manhattan."

"It was our daughter’s tenth birthday and they gave us a free upgrade to the 43rd floor. Gorgeous view! It was our first time in NYC and we can’t wait to go back. Beautifully located in the middle of time square. Subway access right at the corner. Times eatery across the street was delicious. Absolutely loved everything about this hotel. "
