Aus der Wohnküche schaut man auf die Kirche im alten Dorf.Der Lahn-Radweg verläuft fast direkt am Haus. Vor dem Haus steht ein Automat, in dem man sich mit Kaffee, Eiern, Wurst, Milch, Getränken und Suppen aus lokaler Produktion versorgen kann. Schän für einige wenige Tage."

"Wir hatten zahlreiche Ferienwohnungen anlässlich unserer Rundreise durch Deutschland. Manche waren enttäuschend, einige waren so gut, dass wir dachten dies sei der beste Standard. Die Sandmühle hat neue Standards gesetzt. Ein Hof im besten hessischen Fachwerkstil, eine Wohnung mit schweren Balken, die die Decke, leicht kurvig halten, moderne Doppelglasfenster im alten Stil, ein Mix aus modernster Küche mit buchstäblich ALLEM, gemischt mit einer Möbelausstattung aus zwei Jahrhunderten und den...

"Wir waren im Musikhaus Bernshausen mit 18 Erwachsenen. Das Haus ist gemütlich und gut ausgestattet. Sehr positiv haben wir die Unterbringung in Doppelzimmern empfunden, dies hatten wir bei Gruppenhaeusern noch nicht. Sehr schön ist der Aussentisch mit Segelueberdachung. Hier konnte man abends olange sitzen. "

"Wir waren für drei Nächte dort und haben es sehr genossen. Die Wohnung ist super sauber und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Man kann sehr gut spazieren gehen und zur Therme ist es auch nicht weit. Die Gastgeber sind sehr nett und zuvorkommend, es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Die Wohnung ist sehr ruhig und wir konnten uns gut entspannen. Wir kommen gerne wieder!"

"Wir (5 Erwachsene) haben die Woche in Frankenau sehr genossen! Das Haus ist sehr gepflegt und super ausgestattet und die Lage am Rande des Feriendorfes, kurz vor dem Wald wunderschön. Wir empfehlen das Ferienhaus gerne weiter! In einem Punkt hätten wir uns etwas mehr Augenmaß gewünscht: Das Haus hatte bei unserer Ankunft am 30.09. nur 15°C Raumtemperatur und konnte dank der Nachtspeicherheizung erst ab Mitternacht beheizt werden. "What can I say , the owners went above and beyond, as were the rest of the staff very welcoming and really made me feel as if I was home . Both dinner and breakfast were excellent . My room was superb , it was quiet and comfortable. I was worried about the proximity to the motorway , My room was on the back of the hotel, but even on the front side you could not hear the road with the windows shut, and it was just background noise with them open, and the views from the front side are amazing. But it was the atmosphere, friendliness and attention to detail that made it for me . I would recommend this hotel to anyone, and I will definitely be back "

"The hotel looks like a tiny hamlet of old farm buildings which have recently been renovated. A definite rustic feel to it. Parking is 100 m in front of the hamlet. Hotels.com failed to list this hotel as having a restaurant. As such I ate junk food on the way to the hotel, only to find the perfect restaurant for me. I made space for a delicious salmon salad and wonderful glass of Riesling! The room was good and I slept very well. The only missing utility which I always need as a business traveller, was a desk. I suspect, this would also effect females needing a dressing table. I was shown an alternative room with a tiny glass table. Anyway, it didn't spoil my stay. Wonderful staff. Not too expensive. Great hotel and I would definitely stay again."
