"Accommodation was fine. Lovely little pub 5 min walk from property. Only problem was getting the key from reception as they said didn't seem to know we were arriving. They also couldn't find the key after speaking to the owner, eventually gave me the spare key but it was a bit stressful at the time. I must point that this was reception's fault and not the owner of the property."

"The owner of this property must use google translator as most of the messages he sent me made no sense. This then made it difficult to understand the check in process. Thank goodness the kind lady at the registration office clarified things for me. I understood that towels/tea towels would be included with the linens, but there was an extra fee for these items. Just a note for mobility challenged guests, the stairs are very steep and narrow."

"We are a group of 5 women (ages 55-87) and we stayed for 4 nights. This house was a perfect base for our daily trips to tour the 11 cities. While we didn’t cook much at all, we noticed the kitchen was very well equipped. We mostly just enjoyed evening snacks and wine and the water view is very tranquil. The stairs were easy to navigate for my 87-year old mother and we appreciated having bathrooms both up and downstairs. The couch was comfortable and we loved having a screen on the sliding door....

"Heerlijk verblijf in een zeer compleet huis. Mooie omgeving, makkelijk bereikbaar"

"Net opgeknapt, modern ingericht. Schoon. Bij aankomst zijn de bedden al opgemaakt, keuken- en badhanddoeken zijn aanwezig, erg fijn. Communicatie met de verhuurder verliep erg prettig. In Makkum genoeg te doen als je van watersport (surfen, zeilen) en natuur houdt. Gezellige stadjes in de buurt (Workum, Hindeloopen). Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar."

I loved the Nespresso machine and the daily capsules complimentary refill, also nice emptied mini-fridge for use and kettle. Room was large and very clean. My room had an outdoor terrace but the view are not nice as they overlook vents and tubes from the restaurant next door. Heating worked perfectly fine. "

"Overall, a bit basic but it was an okay stay for one night in the winter. Mostly just the lack of transparency, as the hotel reception charged triple the amount of the 'additional fee' than what was listed on the Expedia site when booking. Otherwise fine for what you pay - thank you!"

"I enjoyed my stay very much, the staff of the hotel made my stay very enjoyable. Easy to communicate and super friendly! Only thing that was tough was the hotel did not offer any face towels, or wash rags. They only had a a bath towel and what I assumed was a floor mat towel. But outside of that the stay was perfect! Would definitely stay in this hotel again "
