Maddie's homestay is a private and spacious character house, based in Khandallah just 10 minutes to the CBD. It gives you great access to Wellington city, with suburban peace and quiet.

Includes 2 double bedrooms (one with en suite), one small single bedroom, a separate main bathroom with a luxurious claw foot bath, open plan lounge & dining and well-equipped kitchen.

There are two off-road parking spots and it is located within easy walking distance to the train and bus stops.

Khandallah is one of Wellington's most sought after suburbs, due to its many parks, proximity to the city and access to North Wellington and the Wairarapa.

WOW weekend
Great place to stay. Very tidy and clean with comfortable beds. Very convinient to train stations and quick access to the city. Maddie was great at communicating, met us when we arrived and when we left. Would diffenently use this listing again.

Cute house!
Loved the house, but the driveway was kind of hard to get into. We got confused and went to the wrong one at first. Recommend better instructions on getting into the driveway. Maddie was an excellent host and the house is great! Highly recommend!

Quiet neighbourhood close to town.
Really enjoyed the quiet peaceful area. With town an easy 13mins away. Would definitely choose to stay here again. Very warm and comfortable. Thank you for a relaxing stay.

Old Charm Accomodation
Comfortable old and charming home. Located in quite a hilly area requiring negotiation of narrow streets with cars parked on both sides, had to take a lot of care as at times there was only enough room for one vehicle to pass through. House was comfortable and clean with all required facilities. Internet modem was located in one of the main bedrooms on a stand beside the bed, which was a little annoying when sleeping due to continuous flashing lights, trade off was the internet speed was really good. To access the property there's a few stairs to negotiate which can make it a bit difficult for carrying heavy luggage and for anyone with mobility issues. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Restful Stay in Wellington
It was a joy to stay at this location - it was clean, quiet, and beautiful. The location is great as it is close to shops and a very easy drive to downtown Wellington. We found it had everything we needed and more, not to mention that it was very well kept and clean. I would certainly recommend this to any others looking for a lovely respite in Wellington.

Wedding Stay
We travelled south to Wellington for our daughters wedding. I had some health issues and could not attend. Maddie was very understanding about the issues. My son and wife stayed. They loved the accommodation. Ver up market and met their needs perfectly.. On the Sunday after the wedding they held a small family get together which was very successful. A major thanks to Maddie for working with us. I want to come down to Wellington and stay again. Meet maddie thank her and enjoy what my family did. Overall a strong yes great, repeat booking, what more to say. Thank You!

Short stay in Wellington
We were 2 couples in our 60s travelling around NZ. Maddies home stay was very comfortable with all you could need. The washing machine and dryer was appreciated after driving around the North Island for some days. Beds were very comfortable, two bathrooms were great. Very winding steep roads to drive into town, but short drive to lots of great restaurants and tourist locations. Booking and communication were very easy, would recommend.

Nice property but wound be better with a car as getting Ubers all the time is costly. Great facilities and peaceful location - highly recommend with a hire car. There is a bus stop but buses take up to 50 minutes to get to CBD

Wonderful home within walking distance of everything you need
Maddie's home was wonderful for our family of five! Plenty of space, and right next to a park which the kids loved. We lived that we could get to the train in just a few minutes on foot which got us to the CBD in less than 30 minutes. It was also less than a km away from restaurants and a grocery store. Perfectly located, wonderfully furnished, and Maddie herself was a wonderful host and we would happily stay there again anytime we could!

We thoroughly enjoyed staying here as a family with two young children. When we arrived late in the evening it was wonderful to walk into a nice warm place with soft lighting following our flight. Television was a little tricky to find just the ‘normal’ channels as opposed to watching movies/box sets. The location was excellent and very central to good shopping and eateries. The only real downside to this property was the state of the oven - not very clean at all. Needs a good professional clean. Also, under the single bedroom bed was a shoe and empty plastic bottle. Some rubbish also under couches. Apart from those couple of things, it was a lovely stay, We will definitely stay here again next time!
