Very old run down lodge painted up and cheaply renovated to look like a hotel. Okay for one night if you can get it for a budget price. Wouldn't stay there again.

Asbestos ceiling in a place that commonly gets earthquakes. Our room wasn’t cleaned after 1st night because of staff shortages and then no one cleaned the 2nd night after putting the sign out. Staff looked rushed off their feet, looks like poor management to me otherwise why do the staff look stressed and no one is showing up?

Just the noise in the room, quite noisey out on the street, curtain culd not cover out the street lights. Entrance to hotel pipes had a red water coming out of the pipes near entrance and had to walk aroind it. Otherwise good.

This was a great budget option. The staff was friendly and helpful the building and room were clean. It felt safe and the best part was it’s a short 5min walk to Cuba Street!!! There are only two tiny changes that would have made it better. The top half of the windows were dirty. I am 5’5” and the dirt was right at my eye level. It looked like the cleaners didn’t have a squeegee to reach that tiny bit further. The second thing was the shades for the windows had gaps so that you could see out and other rooms could see in so that was a privacy issue. However even with these two glitches I would stay here again it was great value for dollars!!
