South Lodge dates back to 1847 and was designed by well-known architect, S. S. Teulon. After some years of disrepair, the lodge has been restored and once again stands as sentinel to Holkham Hall and The Triumphal Arch on the Holkham Estate.

Notes: The southern entrance has occasional agricultural traffic and, being in the park, is in an area that is actively managed for game shooting.
