"The cabin is quiet and serene as described. But, please be aware of several things. 1. The “coin laundry” is not on site and the local laundromat hours are limited. 2. There is no foil, Saran Wrap, Tupperware or storage containers for leftovers, zip locks/bags, or cooking oil. Salt and pepper are the only spices on site. "We had a great stay at the South Shore Retreat House! Fully accommodated our family of 12 adults and six children. We were hosting a party at Tinney's Tavern in Lake Desolation and the South Shore House was a perfect place to retreat to at the end of the evening! Kyle was super responsive to any questions we had. "There is no air conditioning in the property and that makes it very hard to stay in the peak summer days. It was 90F during our initial part of our stay and it was almost impossible to stay cool inside the house. I highly recommend the property owner installing some basic air condition unit at a very least to make it habitable."
