"Our stay at Pierre and Martine's farmhouse was wonderful! The view from the backyard out into the pasture's is breathtaking and the kindness shown to us and our family was delightful. "The property is down a lane in a very rural location about 2Kms outside Rance and it is about as tranquil and relaxing as you could imagine with just the distant baa ing of the sheep for company. The bedrooms and bathroom and toilet are downstairs with the living accommodation and patio upstairs which works very well. We absolutely loved it and were blessed with fine weather. To note the downstairs toilet is very compact."

"I'm vacating my apartment in mons so have been staying at a number of local hotels. Stayed in room 113 for a week. My only negative is no aircon which would be a nightmare in the summer, they do supply a big noisy fan. Perhaps B&B who are new owners will install aircon? Other than that it was an excellent stay, free coffee downstairs 24/7 and a room with a bath. We didn't bother with breakfast as plenty of shops/cafes in Mons. Very comfortable bed, i slept very well. Would recommend the B&B...

"Have stayed in a number of Mons hotels whilst i vacated my apartment in the town. This included 2 stays at the van der valk during October 2024. This time in room 103 for a week, nice big clean room, shower only. Very convenient for getting to my apartment and into the centre of town. Didn't use parking or breakfast. IKEA is 10 mins walk away and do a hot breakfast for a few euros. Also 10 mins walk to cafes etc. Van der Valk is easily best hotel in Mons, happy to recommend "

"I'm currently preparing to vacate my apartment in Mons after a few years working in Belgium. Stayed Saturday night at the B&B Mons Gare room 207. The young man on reception was incredibly helpful, Joffrey. Our room was very large with a bath. There were a couple of wedding parties in but we had a great nights sleep. Breakfast was fine with some hot options for us Brits. I never used the hotel when it was run by IBIS but would recommend. We didn't have a car but the car park looked easy to use. Not in the best part of Mons but we know the area well."

"The fact that it is advertised as having a airport shuttle service is an absolute lie. We arrive at 8.50pm and contacted the hotel immediately to arrange a shuttle and they said it would be 15 minutes. We waited outside in the freezing cold and had to phone them 4 times to check when it would arrive. After repeatedly being told it would be 10 more minutes, a taxi turned up and took another family who were also waiting. After 1 1/2 hours waiting we eventually gave up and paid over the odds for another taxi. There is no other way of getting to the hotel apart from a 40 minute walk and this would not be safe in this area , especially when it is dark. "
