"This was the perfect little cottage for us. It had what we needed and we were very comfortable. It’s was very walkable and had a bus nearby. People were very friendly. If we were to return to the area, we would look to stay here."

"Great position in Newbury, very close to the main shopping street. Parking nearby was cheaper than onsite so we used that. Entry was easy with good instructions. It was very warm inside, we had to open the windows and turn off the heating. Nice and quiet in the building, we hardly saw or heard anyone else. Everything you needed for a short break was supplied. The property was exactly as advertised, in a great location and was spotless. Also, having tea and coffee at the property is only a small touch but has a great impact and shows Manu cares for guests. "A few blocks north on Abingdon Rd is a great pub at Head of the River. About 10 min walk north on Abongdon Rd is a Tesco Express food market. Only a 20-min walk north brings you to High Street, Quenn Street, and Broad Street."

"Staying as a couple, the check in was efficient. Parking was problematic - busy and some distance from reception. The room was clean but a bit tired in some areas, eg loose Bath panel, chipped grouting, chipped mirror. The bed was comfortable, the TV dated with limited channels. "I stayed one night with my dog and we were so well looked after that I didn’t want to leave! The hotel is really beautiful and the location is perfect. We took the bus from the park and ride and it stopped right outside. The staff were friendly. Our room was gorgeous, with its own private terrace overlooking the Oxford skyline. This hotel is also really welcoming to dogs. There was a bed, bowls and welcome box waiting. I was able to bring the dog to the bar/lounge area to have dinner and drinks. The room itself was comfortable, nice bed linen, big fluffy towels, a good shower and complimentary treats in the room that I wasn’t expecting. I can’t recommend this hotel enough and I will be back!"
