As we were stuck in Weston Super Mare due to the Red Storm warning and my boyfriends trains were cancelled, it would have been nice to check in early and not have to walk around town until 3 pm and we could actually check in. Also note the lack of plugs in the room, so had to unplug the TV and lamp just to charge our mobile phones.

Unfortunately we had a room at the front and a nightclub opposite so not much sleep was had. It wasn’t that cold yet the property was so hot I dread to think of the heating bill there, we turned our radiator off and had the window open but made the noise below even worse. The breakfast was cooked to order, hot and lovely.

Not great, very run down. Huge bright green light on all night in Prince of wales room Creaky floorboards everywhere Paint peeling off woodwork Wallpaper torn in places Beds uncomfortable Self service breakfast very poor, sausages half cooked, bacon cremated, powdered scrambled eggs only - have to wait ages for food be be refilled Mugs and glasses for tea and juice dirty with lipstick still on

The hotel has a great location and looks great from outside but the interior is old and tired. There is new double glazing windows which stop drafts and noise - Weston on a Friday night is busy. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was self service much like every breakfast in every mid range hotel

Hotel room was fine. Big enough for us with our daughter in the bunk. Shower was a bit mouldy but otherwise ok. Outside noise was intrusive and disruptive running late into Saturday night. Room 110 is also on a busy corner street with cars revving up towards the seafront circuit. Breakfast was ok but limited choice of eggs.

What would have been a pleasant stay was destroyed by the two very large pubs across the road from the front of the hotel, directly opposite our room. The very loud music and screaming/shouting went on until after 3am!! I know the noise was not within the control of the hotel, but some advance warning would have been nice, we would not have booked there 😡😡. Other than that, the staff were excellent, everything was clean and very well maintained. The food in the restaurant was very good, and the portions generous. All that was lacking was any possibility of sleeping!
