Great hotel off the beaten path but walkable.

Conveniently located within walking distance of the historic city centre. Second floor apartment within a traditional narrow canal-front townhouse. It is accessed up communal steep staircase from a main front door and is annexed to the main hotel next door. The apartment overlooks a very picturesque canal, which is the best feature together with the sizeable open plan living / dining / kitchen area. It has a comfortable double bedroom and a wet room. The kitchen area could use some minor repairs to drawer fronts, handles etc, but this didn’t affect our enjoyment. The hotel staff next door were very accommodating with check-in, check-out and leaving luggage. The rear bedroom overlooks an internal courtyard which is also overlooked by bedroom windows from the adjacent hotel. No particular issues, but meant some conversations from neighbouring accommodation could be heard clearly in the evening / night-time if windows were open. Overall would recommend.

Great location - walkable distance to everything. Really friendly staff, room was clean and comfortable. Hotel is in a quieter location, which is great. Our room was on the ground floor near to the reception desk so there was some noise, but nothing that a pair of earplugs couldn’t fix!
