"The chalet is very well appointed and in good condition. I liked the cosiness but with all the conveniences and appliances you might need. What I didn't like was the reliance on previous guests to make the place clean and ready for the next guests, with no obvious thorough check in between. In particular, the bed wasn't made up and it was very difficult to find the right sheets for the bed. Also, the instructions were unclear about how the laundry is dealt with between guests, eg is it...

"It's a good value cottage in a good location just a few minutes from National Park and close to Whakapapa. It could do with a good spring clean, but you can't argue the price. Previous guests could've done more to clean like empty the bins properly, but overall would recommend and the description was accurate! Thanks for having us."

"The house was great for our family of 6 adults with 4 bedrooms. Plenty of games and books provided. It is 'rustic', bathrooms are basic and the paintwork a bit patchy, but plenty of cookware provided and washing machine and dryer, as well as a fireplace."

"Was concerned to find dirty linens in both closets. The dryer was not working. Question whether the bedspreads and blankets were clean. Everything else looked clean. It was great having two bedrooms. Close to gas station/convenience store and restaurants to walk to. "

"Our stay was amazing, although the road noise in the two front rooms where annoying I guess it's only until the road is opened again on state highway 1. The venue was lovely and we all enjoyed the 1920s theme, we even dressed in period clothing for dinner on the sat night. The house was well set up with everything we needed, and close to visiting the mountain. I would recommend this venue, especially for large groups."

"We had a group of 12 people doing an Alpine Skills course. It was ideal for our group with a good sized living area and it was warm & comfortable with the fire going."

"Generally a pretty positive experience. Nice place, hosts were excellent, both communication and helpfulness. We liked the location being the quieter end of Tapoe and a bit out more rural, but not all would. Probably the only negative is the accommodation is near the road so you hear (and feel) the cars and especially trucks passing even at night. The hosts try their best to limit the local traffic noise but its there. We were okay with it, but i imagine some people would find it difficult."
