"Probably the best hotel we have ever stayed in. Venediger Lodge is a brand new building, where the Gasthof Neuhof was located in the very centre of Neukirchen. Check in was very quick, and the staff were very helpful, we did try to use as much German as we could but their English was very very good. "It was a beautiful little place ran by the family. The view from the balcony was absolutely breath taking. Breakfast nice. They even brought us freshly made coffee in our room upon request. "What a wonderful place! The staff was super friendly, the food was superb, and the location was super convenient. They even had loaner sleds we used for the day. Literally steps from the local train which took us very close to the ski lifts. Upon arrival, they asked if we wanted dinner and the kitchen stayed open late and our waitress stayed to serve us (dinner is from 1830-1930). "Upon arrival at this rental property we were greeted by the smiling faces of the property owners and their daughter. The space itself is large with a TV in each bedroom and in the main living area just off the kitchen. The bathroom is huge and has a washing machine for your use. "Although the photos were accurate, we found the nondisclosure of 18.5 euros per person laundry fee excessive. We were only advised of this fee on our day of arrival. This fee covered a small bath towel, hand towel and donna cover. The towels were like cardboard. Be prepared for no everyday supplies. Unlike all of our other 7 houses in our Europe holiday, there were no extra toilet rolls etc. Very cost cutting on their part. The rough finish on the furniture will give you splitters if you are not careful. The unfinished timber maybe "artistic" but is not practical. We only got an email with check-in details on the day of arrival which can present problems if you are traveling."
