Vacation
Fantastic accommodations and hosts! The apartment is beautiful, spacious, and has all the necessities of home! Large windows provide a beautiful view of the countryside and outside also overlooks the valley. Sally and Chris are the best! If you want to endeavor in beekeeping, Sally has extra bee suits! This is a place we loved being at and already planning our next trip back. We will absolutely stay with them again!

Montana as it should be!
Quill Hill exceeded our expectations. The views of the Crazy Mountain Range was majestic each day. The home is large and all the firewood you can burn in the large living room. Bonus is the 2-car garage to keep your car our of the weather.. We could not have been more satisfied with this trip. We will return in the near future for sure.

Phenomenal Property - Amazing Vacation
We stayed at Quill Hill over Christmas for 5 days - we absolutely did not want the vacation to end. The property was even more amazing than the pictures & description indicated. The amenities were second to none. And Sally was so helpful, thoughtful and accommodating from the very first exchange we had (starting a few months before our trip through our departure from the property after our stay). The owners had thought of everything we could possibly need, including non perishable food for the 2-3 days we got snowed in, along with every tool, appliance & luxury you can think of. We chose Wilsall and Quill Hill for its surrounding beauty and privacy (we really wanted to disconnect from the world for a few days - and this is the perfect place for that), the fact that it met every need & want we had (so happy we could bring our dog Frank with us), and for the value itself. I would give Sally and this property 10 stars if I could…it truly exceeded every expectation. We were glad we had a 4WD vehicle to get up the driveway (critical in snow). The property is isolated, but there is a small general store & gas station in town, if you need anything. Wi-Fi was terrific - no problems at all (esp with two teenagers who were online a lot of the time), I got spoiled by the fabulous espresso machine (I now need to get one for my home), and the everything was like new. Fantastic property!

I wish I could have stayed longer!
I must begin by saying the property owner (Sally) might be the best owner I've every dealt with! Her communications are prompt, very accurate and caring. Now for the property, you will notice a theme here it's BIG! The farmhouse property sits on 130 acres. If you're looking to get away from the grind and enjoy the beauty of Montana I can't think of a better place to stay. The farmhouse sits on top of a hill with "Stunning Views"! When I was young I'd always hear about a property having "Million dollar views". In today's times, the farmhouse has "Billion dollar views"! Wake up in the morning and watch the sun rise over the beautiful Montana mountains. At night turn off the lights, go out on the huge deck and view the stars in the sky like never before! The views are truly 360 degrees of beauty. The farmhouse has 2 large master suites upstairs with full bathrooms and a powder room which is located by the main door. The kitchen/island area is BIG, you could probably fit 8 people at the island alone. The walkout basement which also has stunning views of the mountains, has 2 bedrooms, one of which had 3 beds and the other I believe had just one bed. The basement has a big lounging area, foosball table, Xbox along with another pullout bed. There is also a full bathroom in the basement as well. You could literally fit a small army in this farmhouse. Now for all you folks that still need to connect with the outside world, they have "Starlink" internet. It was super fast (just shy of 200 Mbps) which means you could hold a zoom call, stream Netflix, YouTube or what ever you desire. I have stayed at several places in Montana who claim to have good internet only to find out it only works at night or is so SLOW you can't event download an email attachment. This is NOT the case at the farmhouse. Even my cellular connection (T-Mobile) was decent (60Mbps/15Mbps Up) speeds. If you've read the review up to this point you know that the 130 acre farmhouse sits on a hill with "Billion dollar views". This means you need to be smart about what type of transportation you take. I would recommend a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Was it doable in a front wheel drive minivan, yes but I'd prefer not to chance it. I will say the driveway going up the hill was plowed and if you drive like an adult you'll be fine. I've been to Montana 4 times (Flathead Lake, Red Lodge, Libby) and must say the farmhouse is at the top of my families list, not 1 single complaint. One word "Heaven"

Best weekend ever
Sally is a total badass. Super nice and very accommodating. Fridge was stoked with everything we needed/forgot. The cabin was so awesome the views in the morning were great! The stars at night were amazing. I will be booming again the next time we plan another ski trip in the area. Would totally recommend. Also the bath tub is amazing for relaxing. 10 out of 10.

Wonderful
This place was beautiful! The kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need to make a gourmet meal ( pots, pans, silverware, coffee pot, electric tea kettle, steamer, etc). All you need is your own food. The layout was perfect with little kids as the bedrooms are large and plenty of space between them and the main areas of the house. The deck and views were spectacular. Thank you so much, we will be staying there again.

Family trip
This is a beautiful property. The views of the valley are amazing. Had a lot of fun watching the wildlife off the deck. Lots of deer. Heard coyotes howling in the evenings. Nice and secluded. The house I fully equipped with everything that would ever need. The only thing I would rethink is bringing teenagers with us. There isn’t a lot as far as outside things for them to do because of the seclusion. Overall we had an amazing time and would love to return….

Extended Stay at Quill Hill
This property is a gem! The location affords majestic views of the Crazies and Bridger ranges as well as coulees and abundant hay fields. The house is aesthetically pleasing, comfortable, and well stocked from kitchen appliances and amenities to linens and office space. My husband and I spent the majority of time here alone but the house never felt "too big" as there is a large living space and bedrooms downstairs. These were occupied by friends and family at sporadic times providing an abundance of privacy and space. The owner and host, Sally, was prompt with any question or need we had. This is wonderful home in a wonderful location. We plan to return next year!

Beautiful Crazy Mountain views
We stayed for 3 nights over Christmas. This is a beautiful home with an awesome view of the mountains. Sally always responded quickly to my questions. In fact, when we arrived, we had a tough time getting the key lock to open. I emailed Sally (didn’t have number) and she miraculously called me a few minutes later with advice on getting it to open. We were so happy to hear from her. The living/ kitchen space is huge and works well for a large group. With the addition of a card table and chairs, 14 adults fit comfortably around the table. The kitchen had everything I expected and more. The listing said “pantry items” but wasn’t specific. I brought coffee, spices, sugar, flour, oil, peanut butter, syrup, pancake mix and condiments. Had I known for sure what was there, I could have left all of that at home. The bathrooms had plenty of nice fluffy towels and shampoo and body wash and the beds were very comfortable. As another review mentioned I didn’t know that we should not park in front of the garage. The apartment tenants were away most of the time so we were only in their parking space one evening. I was concerned about the last half mile of road which is a steep dirt road. Sally told me there was a tenant so the road was kept plowed when needed. Since there was no snow it didn’t become an issue. We were very happy to have chosen this home for our quick trip to Montana.

Spacious Property w/ Beautiful Views & Great Communication
A large group of 12 of us came out to stay for 2 nights over the Thanksgiving holiday. I would consider myself to be an over-communicator and Sally, our host, was at my every call and beckon responding quickly to questions and inquiries. She was SO awesome, and went out of her way to make our stay as comfortable and tailored to us as possible. The property itself is stunning with huge windows and warm wood trim to really let in all that Montana has to offer. There are 4 furnished bedrooms furnished common spaces both up and downstairs, but excluded from the listing, there are also two additional rooms that do not have any furnishings. We used both of these for blow up mattresses so each couple/individual could have a private space. Also omitted from the listing is the fact that there are long term renters in the garage next to you. We accidentally parked in the garage space, and ended up needing to move our vehicles once we found out that this space was actually someone's home! (The folks that live there were extremely kind and understanding, and very patient while we got out things out of their space). Other than that mix up, our stay was wonderful and I recommend it for groups and pets , large and small!

Breathtaking views from a spectacular property
Enjoyed our second stay at Quill Hill. It is an amazing place with tons of room. It is beautifully laid out in terms of floor space and the kitchen has every convenience and gadget you could possibly need. The view of the Crazy Mountains from the very spacious deck is indescribable. You may also see deer and elk crossing the nearby farmlands. A great place to relax and unwind!

AMAZING PROPERTY WITH EVEN MORE THAN EXPECTED
The time we spent here was absolutely amazing. The views and the location were awesome, and the house was amazing and worth every penny! It had everything we needed an MORE. Extra touches like shampoo, conditioners and body washes available in the showers. We drove back and forth to Yellowstone for day trips which was a little bit of a trip to make every day, but it was so nice to have this beautiful place to stay every evening.
