Lake trout naturally reproduce using the rocky shoals to spawn and maintain a productive fishery. Salmonid growth is good despite competition from warm water fish species. The lake is occasionally stocked with brook trout to supplement a small native population. Wilson lake is accessible via a public launch site located just south of downtown Wilton. Maine Lake house with Mountain Views and Beautiful Sunsets
Hosts Jane and Peter are lovely people and keep their home and property very well maintained. We especially enjoyed amazing sunsets at the lake house and time in the screened in porch. We loved the Mountain Views at Blue Mountain State Park- Center Hill Trail and an overlook along the road nearby. Would highly recommend staying here.

The Best VRBO Experience Ever
By far this was our BEST Vrbo rental experience in all the years we have done business with this resource! Jane and Peter were the most exceptional hosts that you could ever ask for. They were kind, welcoming, a joy to speak with and very down to earth. Their rental property was immaculate, the property description was spot on, and the Vrbo listing just began to do justice to our overall visit. During our time we had ample opportunity to explore Wilson lake, the town of Wilton, as well, the surrounding bay areas. We likewise found time to kayak across the lake itself. In summary, Jane and Peter truly went out of their way to make sure our stay was a very enjoyable and memorable one. Thank you, Jane and Peter for every courtesy that you had shown us. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at your property.

Little piece of Heaven
Jane and Peter are so welcoming and their property is beautiful! Myself, my husband and two 15 year olds had a great time. It was so relaxing and there is so much to do right at your fingertips. We loved the ping pong table! We will be looking to go back there for sure in the future! The guest house was perfect for us and was so clean and exactly what it was marketed as!

A lovely place!
We spent 2 weeks at this lovely little cottage situated on a beautiful lake. The cottage is cozy, clean and very comfortable. It was just perfect for the two of us. The kitchen is stocked with every tool that you might need and the screened porch was a wonderful place to eat our meals, relax and read while watching the loons on the lake. We even enjoyed a couple of fires outside in the evenings. The owners are next door but the cottage is landscaped in a way that feels totally private. June and Peter are so very nice and made sure that we had everything we needed. The have several kayaks to choose from along with a paddle boat. The lake is great because it's not terribly busy. It's a short walk into town to get a little exercise in and there are some cute shops to visit. Farmington, for more serious shopping, is only 15 minutes away. There are also lots of nice hiking opportunities within 30 - 60 minutes drive.

This is the best vacation home we have ever stayed at. This is such a unique and beautiful property. The cottage was spotlessly clean and the most well equipped place we have ever experienced. We spent the majority of our time relaxing on the screened porch and listening to the birds, loons, and bullfrogs. Hosts Jane and Peter were super accommodating and very sweet and friendly. Peter and Jane are terrific hosts of a beautiful spot on the lake. We did all the things. We hiked Mt. Blue to the top. We peddled the boat out onto the lake. We watched the sunrise and sunset on the screened in porch. We made fires and roasted marshmallows. We had a terrifically beautiful family vacation at this perfect little cottage on the lake.

Beautiful Lakefront
Cozy cottage on a mid sized lake during a hotspell in early September. Hosts were very friendly and accomodating. We had access to swimming via a dock and inner tubes. The grounds were tidy with a badmitten net, croquet, ping pong, etc. They even took us for a ride on their new acquired pontoon boat. The location was ideal in that we felt secluded yet only six miles to Farmington, ME. We would like to go back next year.

We were looking for a relaxed week away from the craziness that is our life this year. We got that plus so much more. Our hosts Jane and Peter could not have been more welcoming and gracious. We were availed every amenity that they had. Kayaking, peddle boat, and so much more. We were allowed to bring our 8 year old dog, who I must say loved it as well. We will be looking forward to our next visit to the lake house. Thank You Jane and Peter for making our stay a very pleasant, relaxing, and oh so very enjoyable week, one that we couldn’t wait to share with family and friends. You both are wonderful hosts.
