Great spot!
I rented this beautiful and unique home for a few of my friends for a fun ski weekend. The house had everything we needed. Great privacy. We had an amazing time at TheRedBarn and would absolutely recommend this place.

Wonderful stay near Lake Elmore
We loved our stay at the Red Barn! The space and location worked perfectly for our close friends to stay together during our wedding weekend in Elmore, VT. The Barn, complete with basketball hoop, was an especially fun touch. The check in process was seamless, and communications helpful. We will certainly keep this place in mind for future visits in the area!

Great visit
This was our first weekend get away with our friends and this house was perfect. Very spacious and clean. Loved playing basketball in the barn and relaxing on the beautiful back deck! Woke up to three deer leaping in the back yard! Would recommend this place!

Cozy cabin
Property was great and fit all of our needs for a ski getaway. The only issue we ran into, it’s listed as a 5 bedroom but there are really 4 bedrooms. We ran into issues splitting our group up due to this issue. Great place overall!

Great get away
The house was a great getaway for the weekend and we had a blast! It was nice to have a ton of space and a hot tub, I wish it was a little waormer out and we could have been in the barn more. The only thing we didn’t expect was how hot it got upstairs when the wood stove was on.

Great Weekend Away
The check in and check out process were both extremely easy. Everything we needed to know was in the email and there was not an excessive amount of instructions to follow. The property was clean, had comfortable beds and the kitchen was well stocked. We had everything we needed. In a perfect world the property would have been closer to Stowe mountain - it was about a 30 minute drive for us. Overall a great property to stay at. Would recommend and stay again.

Wonderful weekend getaway
Our group of friends stayed at the Red Barn over MLK weekend, and had an absolutely wonderful time. All of us enjoyed it immensely and left with fond memories. We would definitely recommend this house to friends and family. Some things we particularly enjoyed: the hot tub, how well maintained it is, the sleds, the views upon exiting the house, the wood stove and twisty fireplace, Vermont themed paintings on the walls, the welcoming bear, and the easy-to-use kitchen. Rod (the owner) and Kathy (the property manager) were both very responsive and provided for a warm wintry hospitality. Overall, it was a lovely trip for us all.

A warm winter getaway with family
Our two families of four, plus Elsie the dog, really enjoyed our stay in the Redbarn. Plenty of room for everyone and the kids loved sledging down the hill in the backyard. We also enjoyed the excellent donuts from North Country Cakes just down the road, and pizza from Firehouse Pizza at the very friendly Elmore store. Explored Montpelier, which is cute and quirky and looked like some good places to eat, though we didn't as the dog was with us! And enjoyed taking the dog for a hike in Elmore State Park just a mile down the road. Rod was super quick to respond to our queries. Thanks!

The Red Barn
My friends and I had so much fun at this property ! Everything was so clean , we were provided with all the necessities to pots and pans to towels . The barn was so much fun to play basketball in and to just hang around . The deck was the best part ! We sat outside and just enjoyed the serenity for all four days we were there . The neighbors were so friendly as well!! They all waved while walking by with their dogs and one fo our cars died and they let us use their jumper cables . We will deffinitly be returning !

Comfortable and unique!
Our family had a wonderful week long stay at this home in late August. The home was comfortable and clean, with plenty of spaces for everyone to sleep and hang out. Our two kids LOVED the barn with the chance to play ping pong and basketball; what a unique and fun feature! The large yard was awesome for playing too, and the hot tub was a treat! The house itself is beautiful and of high quality (gorgeous wood throughout, nice furniture, etc.). The beds were very comfortable - some of the comfiest we've ever had at a rental home. Both the owner and property manager were extremely responsive anytime we had a question, which we greatly appreciated. All in all, we highly recommend this rental if you're looking for a unique and memorable Vermont vacation!

Good property manager
Crystal, the property manager, was very polite and responsive. I accidentally broke a coffee pot and she brought a new one the next day. She welcomed us at our check in. Rod, the owner, was very responsive and helpful. His red barn and house are truly unique. The couches are in need of replacement. They have structurally broken down and are not comfortable to sit in for short periods of time. We enjoyed the stay, the location and house are great, and Rod & Crystal are helpful.

2nd Great Stay
The Red Barn is perfect for our group, this is our 2nd time there. Plenty of room in both the house and property, where we can sit out by fire or use the hot tub, and not worry about the closeness of any neighbors if were up a little late. Having the spacious barn for activities if foul weather is also a definite plus

Lovely home
My siblings and I stayed at the Red Barn to attend an extended family reunion at Lake Elmore State Park. It was the perfect location and it is a beautiful home. We had plenty of room and everything we needed. The barn was an added bonus with the ping pong and basketball hoop. We’d stay there again.

Family Reunion at Lake Elmore
Our family of about 40 gathered at Lake Elmore for a reunion. My family of 5 adults and one 18 month old stayed at The Red Barn. It was the perfect size, nice location to the lake, plenty of beds, a pack and play and a welled needed baby gate we put to use. Barn was fun for baby to run around in and shooting hoop for adults. We didn’t use hot tub but there is one there. Nice size deck and gas grill. Unfortunately the deck umbrella was broken but again we didn’t need. Host was quick to answer questions. Overall I would recommend if you want to be near the lake. Big screen TV’s nice as well.

Lovely home, lots to do
Thank you for sharing your beautiful house with us! The basketball and ping pong were especially big hits with our kids (ages 10-14) and the layout of the space gave each family plenty of room to spread out. The kitchen was great for cooking for our crowd of 8 and we enjoyed the remote quietness of the location while still being an easy drive into Stowe and Morristown. Only negative was the occasional mouse which we spotted in both the kitchen and lower level, but we expect he/she may have snuck in during our comings and goings from the attached barn. That said, you’re in the country amongst wildlife so it would be nearly impossible to be mouse free in such a location I’d imagine! Overall, we really enjoyed ourselves and had a memorable getaway!

Great place to stay
Myself and 4 buddies spent long weekend hiking in the area. We found this home a great place to come back to. Condition of home was excellent. Amenities were just right. Sleeping arrangements were also very comfortable. We wouldn't hesitate to rebook this location again. Thank you for making our annual trip very memorable.

Versatile property
2 days into our stay we found ourselves isolating due to covid. Fortunately the different areas of the property indoors and outdoors enabled our family group to have the space each person needed to rest or follow their chosen pursuits and the beautiful deck and outdoor grassed areas meant we could also still enjoy the beautiful weather and interesting wildlife. We knew on day one we were in for an exciting stay when a black bear sauntered past the house along the access road. We also saw several deer and a range of large and small birds around the property. Once back in the community, we enjoyed time in Montpelier, Stowe and Morristown sampling the local shops and cafes with great delight. The only challenge was keeping our grand-daughter safe from the various sets of stairs in the house. The listing advertised baby gates which it turned out were not available and the manager's attempts to provide some in retrospect did not happen before our stay ended. The lower floor of the property was , however , a great place for the child to play and relax in safety and to access the garden with ease.

Beautiful home with plenty to do!
Our group loved our stay at this beautiful home. Upon arrival, the house was very clean and the check-in process was easy. There was so much to do during our stay as well. The barn with basketball hoop and ping pong table was great, but the hot tub may have been our favorite part. There beds and bedrooms were very comfortable and there were plenty of bathrooms for our group. 10/10.

House and rooms were exactly as pictured. Kitchen was well equipped as well. Kids had a blast in the barn playing basketball and also enjoyed the large yard as well as the hot tub. Location is quiet but not too far from shops and restaurants. Owner was very prompt with responding.

Perfect location!
The Red Barn is on a quiet street with a big yard! Great location being close enough to Stowe Center but also far enough to really appreciate the bucolic surroundings!! Already looking to book again for next year.
