Beautiful custom built lakeside cabin completed in the spring of 2023.

Built by the owner John, The Sheehan Lakehouse is located in Mountain Lakes New Hampshire at the base of the white mountains. The cabin was constructed to suit and enhance its beautiful surroundings and features big windows and a back deck overlooking a splendid vista of the lake. The interior is full of precision woodworking, artisanal craftsmanship & custom accents.

This property is great for anyone who loves pond recreation and nature. The back yard is landscaped for ease of access and includes a firepit, a fully equipped shed and a private dock leading out into the waterfront. Mountain Lake is an excellent place for fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding and swimming in the summer. You are not required to have a fishing license to fish at Mountain Lake! Guests may also access the Mountain Lakes District Beach, swimming pool and playground down the street.

Close to multiple ski areas within 30 minutes. Gas fireplace on upper deck, Wireless internet, cable tv, washer & dryer. Parking for 2 vehicles.15 minutes away from all amenities; gas, grocery store, restaurants etc.

Spent a couple nights while checking out things in NH and VT. Location was great, it is obvious the owner put a lot of thought into the craft man ship of the home. Would definitely stay again if we are in the area.

Lake front stay
We really enjoyed the chalet, super clean and very new. The lake is so peaceful and beautiful, we spent so much time on the balcony with the kiddos looking at the water. Wish the weather cooperated a bit more so we could enjoy the fire pit area but it was still really nice. I’d recommend this place as a quiet retreat or as an option during the ski season for sure. Thanks for having us!

Great place to relax!
Had an incredible week at John’s cabin. The house, property and area were amazing. The house had everything we could want and was so clean. Loved the outdoor fireplace and serenity of the lake. We didn’t venture far but when we did, we had easy access to Maine and Vermont as well. We highly recommend this property for a romantic getaway or family vacation. I Didn't Want to Leave!!!!!
Perfectly cozy and comfortable chalet. Meticulously kept, and designed with bits of whimsy on the walls. The Sheehan family must be lovely people. Morning coffee out on the deck was so serene and relaxing.......just what we needed. So thank you Sheehans for providing us with such a wonder fun place to rest and relax while viewing the solar eclipse. First, the cabin is beautiful you can see a lot of details on the walls, floors, stairs, doors, bathroom, kitchen cabinet, balcony, patio, and windows. John's Cabin offers everything from towels, Kitchen, and internet. I was able to work from there. He offers Kayak and a pedal boat with lifesavers and a BBQ grill. My family and I had a wonderful summertime. Also, everything was super clean. We really enjoy our holiday vacation. Ready to plan our next holiday in John's Cabin.

Amazing Home!!
I wanted to celebrate my 50th birthday with my spouse, 2 toddlers and mother in law in a quiet setting with the comforts of home. This chalet is EXACTLY that! It was very clean and had everything we needed! It was rather cold but the heat kept us very warm. We didn't even need the pellet stove. This place is completely charming with STUNNING views. The lake was frozen but still made for a gorgeous backdrop under the moonlight. The location of the home was secluded enough to get the peace and quiet I wanted while still being close enough to civilization. WalMart and Shaws were less than 5 minutes away. Communication with property owner was extremely easy and very pleasant. My entire family HIGHLY recommends this rental. I can only imagine what its like in the summer! We will come back and find out!

The cabin is newly constructed and beautiful. Great views from inside the cabin and from the dock. The owners have so many things provided if you have forgotten anything, even for fishing. Peaceful neighborhood and lake. Prepare to relax!
