Crystal Valley Lodge - Close to Wellington Dam and the Collie River Valley

Situated on our farm in the Worsley District of the Shire of Collie, The Lodge consists of modern open plan living, a generous and well-appointed kitchen, spacious bathroom with two country styled queen rooms perfect for up to 2 couples (a baby up to 12 months is also welcome) wanting to get away from it all. Located around 2 hrs from Perth, close to the Wellington National Park and within 16km to Collie and all it offers, Crystal Valley Lodge is a magical spot to spend a couple of days away from the daily grind. The building is very well insulated and has an oil heater for taking the chill out of the air in winter and also fans in all rooms.
Outside on the covered south facing verandah we have a small BBQ and outdoor seating to sit and enjoy the birdlife and soak up the views over your morning cup of tea or coffee from our Nespresso coffee machine which is provided for guests enjoyment. A private fire pit has been created for our guests to enjoy in fire season.. It’s a fantastic spot to waste away the afternoon in the cooler months.
you can walk through the forest on our doorstep. St David's Church is just a 2km walk and holds a plethora of interesting and historical items.
The Lodge is located within our home compound but is private. There is ample space for parking in a shared driveway that accesses our sheds.

NO DOGS ALLOWED. The closest kennel is Bimbimbie at the bottom of the Collie Hill (approx 25 km away)

Things to do during the day....
Bird watchers will love this area as we have many different bird species on the farm including the famous Splendid Wrens, whistlers, thornbills, spinebills, fantails and also a large group of Red Tail Black Cockatoos as well as the native geese and ducks.
There are fantastic walking and riding tracks everywhere in the forest close to us. If you are keen, you can ride to the Arklow and Wambenger Trails north of Collie.
We have created three walking trails from the farm. They are well signed and include the historic spur line to the old mill.
You can walk to the historic Worsley Church "St Davids" and also water skiing is permitted on nearby Stockton lake. You can kayak on Wellington dam and enjoy a coffee, lunch and now a beer or wine at the Wellington dam Kiosk (licensed). The new mural is fantastic at the dam and is a sight to behold.
We are just a 20 minute drive from the Ferguson valley and about the same from Harvey and 15 mins to Collie. All areas have interesting things to do on your break. For reference, The Farm is on Mundabiddi map 3b on the Dwellingup leg, approx 5 kms past the old Collie loop turnoff. (Worsley Back Road - Gastaldo Road intersection closest corner)
Walk down to Dodge dam at dusk and relax with a glass of wine. Watch the cattle and sheep graze in the paddocks.
The Collie region has:
A newly created mural trail by local and international artists
Newly opened Lake Kepwari camping and adventure area
Black Diamond Lake
World recognised cross country bike tracks "Wambenger " trails.
Links with Bibbulman Walking Track
Fantastic Visitors Centre and Art Gallery.

Lovely secluded farm stay-very relaxing
Came for a long weekend getaway and truly got away. Extremely relaxing and away from city lights good for star gazing. Property finished excellently. Take eye mask if you don’t want to wake up with the sun. Clean and tidy. All comforts of home. Would thoroughly recommend.

Fabulous farmstay
Dale was a lovely host. The self contained cottage on her farm was clean, comfortable and has everything you need. Photos online don’t do it justice. Good location and close to the Wellington Dam mural and National park. Mundabiddi trail is close by if you are into mountain biking. Would highly recommend a stay there.

Cosy winter stay
We enjoyed a great long weekend stay. Dale was very welcoming and ensured the lights were on and the gate open when we arrived after dark. The accommodation is very quiet, clean and confortable. It has a fantastic outlook over the farmland. We took our mountain bikes and explored some of the Munda Biddi bike trial which goes right past the farm. Highly recommended!

Excellent condition - nice and newly fitted out. Lovely decor- really pleasant and relaxing just to stay indoors. Well equipped kitchen - we were able to cook/prep all meals there. Friendly and helpful owners. Could use a reverse-cycle aircon but oil heater did the job and bedding was warm enough to feel cozy while sleeping.

Peaceful Farmstay
Lovely views over green paddocks. No intrusive noise, only bird calls. House beautifully set up, squeaky clean with many interesting collectibles and antiques. Ideal base to explore Collie district. Would stay here again in a flash and have recommended it to friends. Keith Hamilton.

Perfect peaceful retreat
After two nights at this stunning property, we came away feeling so relaxed and didn’t want to leave! Impeccably decorated with such a sense of style and all the modern conveniences, it was easily the most well equipped accomodation we had stayed at in on our travels in the South West. Incredibly comfortable beds that made for the best nights sleep I had had in ages, a wonderful rain shower, washing machine, well stocked kitchen with everything from Scan Pan knives to a pod coffee machine and oven and outside a firepit and bbq, there was nothing the hosts hadn't thought of when designing this little home away from home. The farm itself is beautiful and incredibly peaceful and on the doorstep of some incredible walks in the region. We tackled the Jatibj Trail and had lunch afterwards at Harris Winery which was delicious! Dale was a gracious host bringing us butter, lemons and mandarins and sells farm eggs and honey. We can't wait to come back! Thankyou

Great stay away from the hustle and bustle
The property was outstanding and beautifully designed inside. Gorgeous high ceilings and lots of space. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds and couches. Only minor improvements would be that a wardrobe or draws for clothes would be needed and possibly also a bigger table to eat on outside. Not deal breakers though as the property really was lovely. Owner came to chat to us to tell us about a bush fire which was very welcome since the tourist information had not advised of this when telling us where to cycle and the cycle paths were on fire!
